First Impression So Far: Those are some really big numbers being thrown about. Too big in most cases. It will be interesting to watch both our former Pistons, Darko and Amir. Darko, all jokes aside, is incredibly talented - it's his heart and desire that have been lacking. The Wolves really like him, and truthfully, he played really well for them. His issue is whether he'll be consistent. History says no way, but he is still a really young player. If he breaksthrough with his consistency and develops a mean streak, the Pistons could still someday look wistfully at him from afar. On the other hand - I'll believe it when I see it. Amir is also still really young. If Greg Monroe works out, Amir would have been a very nice fit on our team - receiving passes as he dives into the lane. Amir's got great hands, and the ability to convert inside the paint. And I still love his size and super athleticism - he can be a terror on the boards and in defending the paint. But 6.8 million per year? Highly questionable that he's worth that.

I'm looking at this unique cap situation in Miami, and how they're trying to go for the 3 max players, while I'm not as smart as Pat Riley, I think they're doing this ALL WRONG!! Why not get 1 max player (Wade), 1 kind of max player (Boozer, Lee, maybe Dirk), and then go after 3 MLE players who are undervalued, guys like Ridnour, Outlaw, Josh Howard, Haywood, etc etc etc....I just think that 3 max players is a set up for disaster especially when there is actually only one player on the market who has PROVEN that he's worth MAX dollars..WADE.
yep with what 2? players under contract... that means 6-15 are going to minimum contracts.... not what i want pushing for a title
Report: Lakers agree to deal with Steve Blake: four-year contract worth $16 million Seattle Post-Intelligencer: NBA
Huh? How much is the BiAnnual Exception this year? I was under the impression that all the Lakers had was their exceptions and that they've already offered the MLE to Mike Miller.
This just makes me sick that the chances of Phil's quadruple three-peat chances just got better. The Lakers were able to get to the finals three years in a row with an old fake PG in Fisher and now they have a legitimate one.....why do the rich get richer. Wonder if Will Bynum's agent contacted Kupchak or vis a versa. Will could have went to a non-pretender to the ultimate [strike]contender[/strike] defending champ. Two Bynums are always better than one...
