If Al Jefferson and Amare Stoudemire are mediocre, the world has never seen a good power forward. You're surely joking. What are your criteria to call someone a superstar? By the sound of your last few posts, I'm not sure if there are any decent basketball players that have ever lived.
T not "mediocre" but they are not hall of famers.. They are All-Star caliber players.. nothing more - nothing less (at least for now)
it keeps them in play i suppose for james... if he is honestly about winning now, Chicago is the best place to land, followed by miami, and last on my list would be Cleveland.... New York and New Jersey still in it but I wouldn't go there if I wanted to win. So be the man in Chicago or be part of a trio in Miami is how it breaks down for me as of 5:15pm est today.... subject to change lol
LeBron really doesn't mesh with Rose. He probably meshes better with a guy who isn't a true PG, but who is a deadly 3 pt shooter. Rose needs the ball in his hands a lot, and that just won't happen with LeBron. Rose and Boozer works similarly to the way D. Williams and Boozer worked, although not as well, since Rose isn't anywhere near as skilled a PG as D-Will is. Still, it's his team, and his ability to work with a proven all-star PF, and Noah who will provide tons of D and hustle, is a pretty nice combination. LeBron might fit better in NJ and with Amare, although I am not an Amare fan and don't see this as a step up from what LeBron had/has in Cleveland.
ESPN is reporting that there's a good probability that LeBron is joining Wade and Bosh as part of a "super team." Seriously, those 3 can go........ (fill in the blank. Two words). What a group of competitors!! Not. Don't worry kids, no reason to earn your rings - just put all the superstars on one team and beat the crap out of the opposition for the next 5-7 years. If this works, it's making a mockery out of the league - there just won't be much reason to watch. I won't pay a cent anywhere to go see an NBA game or even to pay for NBA broadband. What I can't get for free, I won't watch.
Boozer/Noah should be a great starting front court for Chicago. Noah can help mask the fact Boozer struggles defensively against taller players, and Boozer provides the consistent post scoring Noah is not capable of. Noah is a solid weak side shot blocker but they both rebound well. They are going to struggle against Orlando or another team with a big physical big. Regardless it's a step in the right direction for them. That contract...ehh. I guess that's the market.
I'm starting to see 5 yr for 75 million. That's not that bad. I like this move also although I'm not a big fan of Boozy as an elite 4 becuase of his trouble with taller guys as you stated.
Fresh rumor out of Oakland - sign and trade with Knicks with Lee going to Warriors and Randolph and fillers to NY. This can only happen if Knicks don't get LeBron.
Warriors can use a good rebounder who can score but plays no defense. Not sure what's in it for Knicks.
I didn't knew that Noah and Lebron were OK playing together.. I mean.. after this: YouTube - [BB] LeBron James vs Joakim Noah - Bulls vs Cavs 12/4/09 ..
