I'm with L-wood, I've mostly had Joe's back throughout, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if he goes. It's been 10 years since that title season. With all this losing in recent seasons, you gotta move on at some point.

So all we need to do is change the locks to the Palace,
tow away his company car in the middle of the night,
cancel his corporate credit cards, and leave
a huge bag of popcorn on his front porch.

Every time I see this thread rise to the top of the leader board, I think what Mo was Fired!!? and then realize it's an old thread from last summer....

I guess when it says Joe's Fired is when I should believe that it's true shake up and we've closed the door on the #BadboyGoingtoWork days. Once Joe goes, then we have to completely clean house with Abdenour, Arnie Kanter, Mason, Blaha, Mahorn, Kelser, Sheed and Jerry the Security Guy.

    Chris Grant is available.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rip Hamilton get a chance either.

Think of the in-house candidates we'd have to choose from if blue had his way with the composition of the basketball staff?

    Larry Brown and Bob Knight!

Would Jerry Sloan be willing to move over from his advanced scouting gig to coach the team?

I would like to see Rip as the assistant to Jerry the Security Guy. Eventually, Jerry will retire, and it's never too early to start grooming his replacement.

Now this is a good idea!!! Hopefully blue is open-minded enough to consider this even though it isn't his idea.

The fact that the Pistons have fired "so many" coaches over the last several years is NOT a valid reason to keep the current guy.
    Dude has to go.

Because Cheeks is not as bad as Curry.

And because at this point in Pistons history, one should be seriously concerned that if we fire this coach, the next will be even worse.

He should not have been hired in the first place.

Having said that, it is hard to hire a really good new coach with all that blood on the chair.

That's why Joe D probably has to go if and when it's time to fire Cheeks. It's probably not possible to get anyone decent anymore without cleaning house.
