Wow...that seems like a great deal for Dyess. Sad to see him go but I think he might thrive in that situation. Great pickup by the Spurs.

You mean we were really in the running for Dyess to return here?

Good for Dice, as the Spurs could make a splashy return to prominence with the key acquisition of RJ, the return of Manu, and blossoming of Dejuan Blair and challenge the Lakers for western supremacy.

Sheed has the opportunity to get there too...and Rip and Tay...well they are at the mercy of Joe's next move..whic might be Bass, Chandler or Boozer??

    Or Baby?
Other than that I concur - good for Dyess. Hopefully he can actually win his ring there (as long as it is not against Pistons).

Actually, you didn't have to. But go ahead, take your load off.
I had to put the disclaimer in. You know why.

Actually if he does make it whole 3 years then it could be a possibility. Duncan would be pretty old by then though.

Good for Dyess. SA is like West Det.

Yep. But they have Pop and that has to count for something.

SA is like West Det? How do you figure? I wish the Pistons were nearly as successful as the Spurs. They don't fire their coach every one/two seasons; they have a true point guard; they have a big man they have built their team around. I'm trying to see the similarities here.

Same coach and PF in Pop and Duncan for the past 12 years.....7 division crowns, 4 WCF championships, and 4 rings....so the only similarity would be the division crowns...

Pop is the GM/VP and coach......maybe if Joe had just taken over as GM/coach after LB left, he possibly could have had another ring or two on his fingers.:stirthepot:

Hopefully Barbara San Antone appreciates Dyess more than Detroiters on this forum did. I'd rather have 'class' than 'ass' on my bench ANY day!!

    Bon voyage, Dice Man!

No doubt we're gonna miss that money mid-range and the rebounds

He's not going to win a ring, but he should get to the WCF and have a fun year w/ the big three.

Then again Artest could go nuts and/or LAL loses Odom . . .

I'd love to see Sheed and McDyess against each other in the Finals.
