Chauncey might be clenching every time he sees Melo open for the rest of the season.

This deal was just confirmed by Wiggles, so it looks like it is a go!

I actually feel bad for Chauncey.
Peeps love him here in Denver and he loves 'em back.

This is a big mistake for the Knicks. Melo is not a winner and he's a bad fit with Stat.

Agreed here, although I don't feel sorry for CB. Sure he's still happy he left the Pistons.

Chauncey loves Denver..I am sure he didnt want to leave, but business is business. Melo is not a franchise player, doesnt do enough other than score. Knicks gave up too much.

At least Melo was honest with the Nuggets with his intentions unlike Lebron. Nuggets were able to get a lot for their star player.

    Great comments.

I think the Knicks gave up too much.
I think Denver made out on this deal.

I do feel bad for Chauncy...
I'm excited to see how this works out. They have a solid team, but D-Will or CP3 would fit better than Chauncy...even Andre Miller.

Feel bad for Candace Parker too...her hubby Shelden Williams has been traded to his sixth team in 5 years...which means that they can never unpack their bags...and settle down. Thet have their summer place in LA when the WNBA is playing, but right now she is over seas playing and he is calling the moving van again. :)

Afflalo is going to make bank because of this! This is the best thing to happen to him. Felton will start at the one, and Spellcheck will get more shots at the 2...Gal is not going to take more shots than Melo, and Chandler is coming off the bench...

Now that we have the big trade finally out of the way, Joe needs to talk to both Mrs D and Tom Gores and see if he has permission to pull off a block buster deal.

One that usurps the Melo deal

He is making a couple million dollars a year to play a game. How could you feel sorry for him?

NY is in 6th place and Denver is 0.5 games out of 6th place.

Both teams will probably be disrupted by the transition. Seems like NY benefits in the short run and Denver in the long run.

They'll win some games, make some headlines, entertain some folks, get a bunch of televised games, and will have plenty of star power. Seems like a relative win for New York. That franchise is talked about in such glowing terms despite it's recent lack of success.

The future of the East is still Chicago & Miami.

Next season CP3 will pull the exact same BS, he'll say NY or Bust, NY will pick up Chauncey's team option for the 2011-2012 season and the company line will be all about how Chauncey's expiring contract will free up the cap room for Chris Paul. New Orleans won't want Chauncey prior to the deadline and NY won't give up Landry Fields and they're clean out of draft picks, Paul will be a Knick this time next season. The knicks will replace the aging Celtics in the Eastern Conf pecking order next year or the year after. Chi, NY and Mia with Orl (with a frustrated Dwight Howard) and Atl on the outside looking in. I look for D-Williams and D-Howard to attempt to team up with Blake Griffin in LA or with Aldridge and Roy in Portland.
