Yeah - this collusion thing is going to work out for 3, max 4 teams. The rest of the league will be the friggin Washington Generals. Who will care then about this league. I suppose fans of those 3 or 4 teams, and the rest of us just won't watch much.
I don't like 3 or 4 major powers either. I prefer parity like in the NFL. But then people complain about THAT too, so what can a league do? What is really best? @Dre. Good one. But don't you think you would have looked much more official if you had been wearing your pf.com shirt.
Be interesting to see if CB can run the way D'Antoni will want him to. I feel like there is enough talent in the league that they teams with the newest "big three" will still have opposition. Teams like Oklahoma City, Atlanta...hard working teams that build by drafting and good coaching.
Yep there will be at least 20 Washington Generals teams throughout the USA as the top 10 teams will be the traveling circuses with all of the best/skilled players. At this point, we may as well shut down at least 5-7 teams to make the league more competitve like it was in the 70's when there was no dominate team. The teams that should be contracted or merged should be the ones in the small markets that are struggling such as the: Wizards, Bobcats, Kings, Cavs, Raptors, Twolves, Pacers to name a few..
I like the core of our team - Monroe, Daye, JJ and Stuckey. I like that core a lot. But it's really optimistic - too optimistic - to foresee us as ever being contenders again. What we need are for Monroe and Daye and Stuckey to develop into full-fledged all-stars, and JJ to become Bruce Bowen. Possible, but it's hard to bet on.
What if Gores was charismatic enough to have Deron Williams and Dwight Howard collude in Detroit? Ah, also, we'll finally have the answer to the Afflalo debate: Side 1: He's an awesome guy that Joe gave away. Look at the stats he's putting up. Side 2: He's only putting up good numbers because he's playing with a great PG and Melo who spread the floor.
Wonder if the Knicks have any interest or capp space in pairing Rip back together with CBill?? Problem is they have no one left to trade.....and definitely don't have the money.... May have to get Zeke or Wiggles involved to find a third team to facilitate this Knicks deal that would at least send us a big in return.
This core makes me want to smash my face into my desk. You'd have to look awfully hard to find a worse core in the NBA. Going off the top of my head I'll say that probably only CLE is worse.
We have a car with seats and a steering wheel, but no windshield, no engine and only one wheel. What's so wrong with that?
So who does New York start at this point? CB at the 1 Fields at the 2 Melo at the 3 Stat at the 4 Turiaf at the 5 Kelena and Toney D off the bench, but then WHO? They are thin, especially at the PG position and the bigs...this is going to be ugly.
I hope NY plays the Heat in the 2nd round. The winner of the mini-All Star series earns the right to be spanked by the Celtics.
Should we feel sorry for the Nets who got nothing out of deal after keeping it in the news for the past three months. The owner can wait for DHow or CP3 or DWill next summer or take Rip, Max and Bynum for Harris and Murphy now and feel that all of that trade talk went for not..
I still think Miami will have a hard time getting by Orlando if at any point they do play...D-Ho will eat them alive.
I was really bummed when Arroyo left. I liked him. I dont think he's a great player, but a good role player, solid bench point guard. Will is better IMO.
