I have had a chance to listen to local radio today, so can't tell if the local Lakers beat guys are buying or selling this one.

I know they love Will Bynum's cousin, but so far he is only giving then 50 games a year and even yesterday he was saying that his knee was day to day.

The Lakers would love to have Carmelo since it appears that they can't even beat the big guys from the east in Staples let alone the playoffs. (The got to get pass the Spurs first), but they want to dump Artest if the could and the Nuggets don't want him.

I hate that Chris Broussard can take a rumor and run with it and gets everyone at ESPN jumping thru hoops to make it happen

Interesting...When the Pistons had the choice.

-A tall young center or Carmello. We took the tall young center.

-Looks like the Lakers have the same thinking...Keeping A.Bynum...

Bynum is a proven talent though. Nothing spectacular, but he is a solid center, not solid enough to pass up on Melo though, especially with how well Lamar Odom is playing. They could put Pau at center, LO at Pf and then Melo at SF.

Honestly, Artest played some four when he was in Indiana too, and did fine at it. He's a little undersized, but defensively he wont give up much, especially in a match up against Blair, Milsap, etc.
