Not sure I like that #6 on Ben Wallace - keep having flashbacks to the TMills days.

Listening to the 2nd half on the radio feed. Sure nice to hear Ben Wallace's name getting called for rebounds and good defensive plays.

Gee, and its nice to hear Ben Gordon and Wilcox come on out and knock down 9 points between them real quick. Does not seem like scoring off the bench will be a problem.

Then you got Wilcox with the upside down 6, or 9 to be specific. Gonna be tough to keep the numbers straight.

Ben looks pretty good. I have been impressed. Actually, the whole squad is looking decent. It's only preseason, but lots of good things going on.

Wilcox with a couple of nice inside moves. Haven't seen that in a long while from a Piston.

Ben Gordon and Will Bynum both seem like they can score whenever they want.

Right now we are up 15 or so. Bynum just came in with a few minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. Its Bynum, Gordon, Daye, Wilcox, and Maxiell.

So Villanueva is injured. We started Stuckey and Rip, with Tay, Ben Wallace, and Kwame Brown up front.

And the bench is Bynum, Gordon, Daye, Wilcox, Maxiell.

    68-57 after 3.

38-10 Our bench is outscoring theirs.

Nice duck in and score for Maxiell. Up 76-59. Nine for JMAX. 8 to go.

JMAX scored the last 4 for us. Stuckey, Gordon, Tay, JMAX, and Kwame in now.

Kwame just scored again. Hard foul by JMAX to stop dunk.

George Blaha on Ben Gordon: "that smooth stroke and great handle.." ( 2 for 6 FG stat flashes on screen)

10 seconds later: "lost it in the lane though.."

worried that Bynum will kill Stuckey's confidence.....will Dumars ever admit we have three SG's? I don't think Bynum is a better player, but he seems better at the point right now.

They also had Gordon at the point for a stretch there and he looked pretty good.

Overall, looks like a very well coached team. Defense has been solid and offensively there is an emphasis on getting into the paint. Only knock is that there have been more turnovers than what we are used to seeing but that's also a result of being more up-tempo and trying to go inside. This should clear up in time as the players get used to each other.

it's easy to look good against Miami's crap frontcourt... our frontcourt, unless Charlie Villanueva comes in and looks like a young Rasheed Wallace, is just so JV.

no cable yet - will have wed.

Summers in. Has not scored in the game yet.

    Jerebko, Jonas, in.

77-63 6 to go in game.

Stuckey still in. Bynum in. Stuckey sits. Maxiell still in. Gordon misses.

A fight. Jerebko hits someone. Magloire got hit.

Bynum scores. Back up 12. Make that 10

    Bynum offensive foul.

New rules allow more review by officials of tape. They are checking to see how Jerebko got a bloody nose. Now they are throwing both Magloire and Jerebko out. And they took, what, 10 minutes to do it.

Gordon turns it over. 9 point game. Maxiell, Baston, Gordon, Bynum, and Summers in.

Summers hooks it in. Steal by Summers. Misses. Maxiell hard foul to stop dunk.

    8

48% shooting for us vs. 35% shooting for them.

Bynum misses but is fouled. Makes both. 83-73

    2 minutes to go.

Baston gets fouled. Makes 1-2. They get 2nd straight 3. Just up 5 now.

Baston gets fouled. Bynum makes 2 free throws. He was not suppose to shoot. They took the points away. Can they do that? Probably not but they did. Baston has to shoot. Baston misses both. 1:21 to go. 4 point game.

Foul Miami. Game will never end apparently. Announcers are begging to let the game please end. Baston misses anohter free throw. Makes one. 85-80

    2 point game.

    Summers misses.

Bynum blocks a three attempt. Summers got the rebound.

Timeout. Bynum just traveled. Miami could send it to OT.

    Summers gets bound.

We make 2-2 at the line. Game finally over.

    Wilcox ends up 5-6.

Jerebko got screwed. He should have never been ejected. Magliore threw the punch.

Piston guards (Bynum, Gordon, Baston) have played no D in the final few minutes. They are leaving Miami guards wide open at the 3-point line.

Baston might get cut after this game.

Bynum makes a nice block, but then he Arroyo-over-dribbles himself into a turnover. Miami has a chance to win with 10 seconds left.

Jerebko is the new Amir. Six fouls in 11 mins. But I bet he did it all athletic -like.

Only watched the highlights, but it looked like a decent start to a season. That block by Daye was really impressive. And yes, Jerebko did get screwed in that fight in the end. Magloire threw the punch and Jerebko was just pushing back.

How awesome it is that the very first points for the Pistons this year came from a nice putback dunk by Big Ben. That was just perfect. Kudos to Quester for starting Ben. The only thing that was wrong was the jersey #.

I'm feeling good about this team and can't wait until the season starts.
