It's quite sad to see a player or any person, really, go through this. No easy course correction for Beasley-J.A. Adande ESPN
He's just a kid. Lucky for him, he recognizes the problem this early. If he's serious about correcting it, he will be fine.
The comments he made before he closed his twitter account raised some huge red flags. RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Beasley Removes Twitter Page After Posting Controversial Photo I'm really glad he decided to get help.
That's reaching IMO. It may be a bag of weed. It might be salvia. It might be spike99. It might be oregano. It might be plastic wrap from Mickey D's that he microwaved. In 3 out of 5 cases he's getting high...but only one is illegal.
Not what Adande is trying to argue. We should have let Beasley go pro a year earlier?:nerd2: Guarantee, a lot more whacky stuff came out about Beasley from his year in college, and that Miami was in no way surprised by what happened. And for Beasley, other than acting like he's twelve, he's no worse than a lot of NBA guys. You have to applaud Miami for getting to him now, instead of later. Imagine if White Chocolate had gotten a little rehab this early in his career?
I met Beasly in college and he was one of the nicest kids I know. His coaches came to our gym 4-5 times a year and always spoke VERY highly of Beasly. I think he is just fighting his own demons. Kid has been moved every year since 8th grade and hasn't had a lot of stability. I pray he works it out.
Bar tender I really did it this time Broke my parole to have a good time When I got home it was 6 a.m. The door was locked so I kicked it in She was trippin' on the bills I think she was high on some pills...
