they're both at fault. Rip is a diva and Curry needs PR lessons.
How could any of the players be happy with what Curry was doing ?
Curry's rots. was the last straw for Rip.
Yep, gotta do it.
They can't co-exist. This wasn't just an argument, this was Rip challenging Curry's "competence."
And how convenient that this story comes out not during the season, but two days before FA. It's the propaganda machine, kicking someone on their way out.
Keep in mind that Rip is right. What would you expect a true leader to do? Take over for the coach like Sheed used to and just call different plays after the huddle.
He started the season off trying to take Curry's juice in a huddle in front of a crowd of thousands, and later on he wants Curry to respect his feelings.
Say what you will about Curry's coaching ability, fact is Rip tried to step to his coach like a man and later on expected to be treated with the respect that he himself refused to give.
Rip is just a punk.
This man has been spoiled by playing with teammates that got away with pushing little Flip Saunders around. He's damaged goods if Joe really wants to break his team of this trend.
Is this an analogy i'm missing or . . . ?
Respect. Credibility. Power.
Rip tried to punk him and establish himself as the real leader of the team.
Incompetent coach or not, Curry didn't fold like Flip did, and it seems Rip's next reaction was to pout like a baby girl.
AGree, Agree, Agree. You have to give respect in order to receive it.
Count AI as another whom questioned Curry's competence.
Tay and Sheed probably questioned Curry's competence too but stood down.
P.S. Every PF.com member at large questioned Curry's competence at some point last season. Except you B+.
Curry had me when he knew right away that "double entrundra" wasn't a word.
learned it, forgot it
time to move on.
you're still wrong.
Apparently you haven't learned a thing.
I'm not surprised.
Oh, I have to tell you - again -
He didn't start off the season disrespecting him. Thier "drama" wasn't until much later in the year.
Curry didn't fold? Yes he did, albeit passive agressively. What happened to the i'm going to say what i mean, transparency, if i have a problem with you i'm going to talk to you, communication, etc. Curry acted like a 5 year old and took the easy out. They both did.
The difference is Rip can play. Curry can't coach. IF it was a decision b/w the two, which i doubt in the 1st place, the choice was obvious especially when Curry managed to alienate a majority of the team albeit less publicly.
This is the exact type of thing i hated with Sheed/Flip. He was raked across coals and it turned out everybody felt that way. They just either knewhow to hide it better or the Pistons did.
According to reporters he first challenged Curry during a Portland game in November.
How on Earth is November is "much later in the year" when it's the first month of the season, and before Hamilton was ever asked to come off the bench.
Don't answer that. It would be a waste of time slogging through the bias.
I feel the exact same way about you. I'll stay out of your way and you stay out of mine.
