Well...half way through the season and we're 6-1. Got 5 conference games left, the meat of the schedule.
We're looking at OSU, MSU, Nebraska, Iowa, and Northwestern. We could win all 5...or lose them all. :cold:

I've seen both the offense and defense play verrry well. Just haven't been consistent.

I can offer no prediction for the remaining schedule as they've been all over the board ,performance wise...

Just hoping to finish 9-3 or better. 8-4 or worse would be devastating for a program trying to find its way back.

Based on the fact that Hoke is undefeated at the Big House since he arrived on campus, I would say they go at least 2-3.
It may be a toughie as those two games are vs Nebraska and The OSU. :gaah:

Neither michigan nor State is very good. But Michigan will win because we can't score and they are coming off a bye.

    Defense scores for us.

    Michigan 14

    MSU 7

But that is two weeks away.

It really depends on WHICH Michigan defense shows up. If it's the defense that played vs. Notre Dame, you might be right. If it's the defense that showed up again Indiana, MSU could break out of its offensive slump.

Just like we did against South Florida and Western Michigan, eh? Michigan's defense has got to be better than tho... Maybe you have a point.

Michigan ranks 49th in rushing offense. This ranking appears to be a BIG departure from the Lloyd Carr Era when UM seem to be have tons of talent in the tank. Touissant has been a HUGE disappointment.

With the 3rd quarter almost over, UM has -38 yards rushing on 20 carries. NEGATIVE 38 YARDS. Wow.

I just stopped watching when UM grabbed a facemask. Team is obviously frustrated.

Halftime talk did not help.....game was still close. I would have just tried running up the middle or the shot gun.. the QB trying to step back in pocket and pass did not work in the first half or the second. Even a reverse could have have worked??? But once they got down 16-6, they panicked and it was all about trying to pass when it was obvious the M off line was not going to hold back the best defense in the country from getting to Gardner. I am thinking that Shoelaces would have gotten through that line a couple of times.

Great win by MSU....Can M recover or has their offensive line been exposed?

Yeah, Michigan will recover. But they need to do more than that. I really don't mean this as a slam or to take anything away from the Spartans dominating win, but Michigan was over rated, IMO. You shouldn't be top 25 if you almost lose to Akron and U Conn in football. But I have a lot of respect for Brady Hoke. He is still paying for Rich Rodriguez. It's a different world in NCAA football, but Hoke will do the job.

I'd say " good game" but I know it wasn't from your standpoints. Michigan will still go to a good bowl game. The Spartan defense was too good to let Michigan expose the poor MSU offense. I still believe you have the better offense for what it's worth.

Option 1. - Michigan needed a moving pocket.
Option 2. - Our QB needed to toss on a 3 count on every play.
Option 3. - Run lots of screens and draws.

The media, fans, ranking committees , everyone, were very focused on Michigan State poor offense and their problems. Rightly so. But the Wolverines barely beat Akron and Connecticut and everyone more or less looked past that because they too were winning. So when you think about it we really should not have been very surprised at the results.

Last Sunday I rooted for The Dallas Cowboys so I could advance in Survivor. This weekend I'm going to be rooting with the same passion for Michigan in order to make Michigan State's job easier. :icon evil::hanged2:
