Oakland U. is where I did my undergrad. It's nice to see them do well in basketball the last few years.

Homegrown talent. I think Mateen Cleaves turned Joe off to this sort of thing.

    Joe's rules on drafting:
    1. Nobody from Michigan.
    2 .Nobody from Serbia.

    Joe's should be rules:
    1. Nobody named Rodney.
    2. You kept the wrong guy from 2005 you idiot.

    Agree with your assessments here

Joe could selected Jamal Crawford, Manny Harris (or let him try out), Zebo, Jason Richardson...even Chris Kaman if we had stayed with the # 6 pick instead getting elevated to # 2

By the way I was watching ESPN First Take a few minutes ago, and Mateen was on there with Fab Fiver Jimmy King, and Mateen had MSU in the final four:MusicBigGrin: and Oakland upsetting Texas in the first round.

Even Jimmy King put aside his homerism giving the nod to Tennessee over the Wolverines

Benson will play like he belongs,(in the NBA) against Texas. He'll face some big time competition in this game, so be ready for his coming out party.........:party2:

I remember the FF days pretty good. But is it not true the hype machine had them labeled and packaged before they won 5 games ? I knew they raised bank for UoM but from $1.6M to $10M !! ?

As for the Grand Jury... F' them hard, right where the sun don't shine !
If they want to catch a criminal don't ask kids he has been feeding on and off for 5 yr. To my limited knowledge none of those kids were bag men for him.

Yes...the hype machine made millions off of them. At one point in the program...Mitch Albom tells of being with C-Webb and looking at a Michigan Chris Webber jersey selling for $75. Webber realized there was something wrong because somebody was making a lot of money off of him and he couldn't even afford to buy his oen jersey. For a 19 year old kid that's a lot to process.

If he just made a rule: No Whites

    We would have avoided Darko
Losing Okur due to unforseen CBA cap restrictions
    Jerebko's achilles injury
    Rodney White
    and Terrico White.

I was in the USA studying when the Fab 5 played. Did not know too much about the 'behind the scenes' stuff. Love to watch it now but unfortunately, I don't think they will air it here in Malaysia now.

Yep I was wondering if Hill or anyone would step up and say anything about Rose's comments...

I didn't like Duke back in the day or now....but I didn't have the same thoughts/feelings that Jalen had.

Still it was a good honest documentary...

Isn't that a "black on black slam" ? So it's OK.

I would fathom a guess that this type of comment, not made to Grant Hill's face, was out of line....

Just [STRIKE]wondering[/STRIKE] hoping if these comments prove a distraction to coach K and the current Duke players and they fold in the first round:sssh:

Often a man doesn't get to choose his fate. You do what you do to survive. Don't be jealous.
It's all in the name of the drub.

Tennessee AD not sure if coach Bruce Pearl will return next season.....is this added pressure on Pearl and his players enough to get the Wolverines past the troubled Vols??
