The Conspiracists say that Butler got the calls so that we would have the potential David & Goliath match up and then Duke could win it all......Thanks for a good year Spartans, and Go Butler!!
Not the right thread for this, but very nice win for Michigan at Clemson tonight. The Wolverines have no seniors and 13 underclassmen on the roster. To beat an ACC team on the road this early in the season could do wonders for this team's confidence. MSU vs. Duke on Wednesday....should be fun!
Re: Michigan-Michigan State Mens basketball 2010-11 yeah great win for the young Wolverines who played a great first half and then put on their Pistons game faces in the second half and had to hold on to get the Win. Has Joe Dumars son even suited up yet? Seems like the refs were reminded at halftime that this was a ACC game at home and Clemson was SUPPOSED to win this as they gave the Tigers every break they could allow on a nationally televised game. Mich is now 4-2 and almost beat the nationally ranked Syracuse Orangemen over the weekend. A win over Duke tomorrow by the Spartans would solidify their final four aspirations.
Re: Michigan-Michigan State Mens basketball 2010-11 I'm sure i read that because of how Dumars transferred he can't dress/play till next semester.
Re: Michigan-Michigan State Mens basketball 2010-11 Yea, he played the first semester at South Florida last year, so he should be eligible after the current fall semester ends in a couple of weeks. Not sure if he'll play much, though.
I'm totally confused here (what else is new)? The thread is labeled as 2009-2010, but it seems like beginning with Dre's post at 10:55 pm last night all of the posts following that said re: 2010-2011? Don't we just need to start a new thread for 2010-2011? Maybe I'm missing something here (wouldn't be the first time, would it)?
It was changed temporarily to allow last nights game comments. As the originator of the 2009-2010 UM-MSU thread and long suffering PF member with over 7500 posts, I am giving you Darth the authority to start the official 2010-11 UM-MSU thread after tonights Spartan victory over #1 Duke!!
I can't start a new thread. If my name is on it Laimbeer, basketbills, and Linwood will just crap in it. I'm predicting a loss to Duke. It seems like Sparty usually loses to the top teams prior to the Big Ten schedule and then is ready to kick butt during March Madness. I'm looking forward to the annual Green Out in the forum.
I know it will probably happen too, but the Big 10 is actually leading this years challenge 4-2 after the ACC won the first 2 games, the big 10 has won the last four played last night. It may and it may come down to the winner of the Duke-MSU game to decide the conference bragging rights if the first four games are split tonight. GO Spartans!!
Spartans have set the bar so high that I assume the green out starts during the final 4. Darth...Go ahead and start a new thread. There are people who love you here.
I would like to apologize for getting slightly off topic in the Eagles thread. I also admit to being too lazy to start a new UM/MSU basketball thread. I'm waiting for Darth to start it.
I keep checking my in box for the Thank You message from you for boosting the post number on your goofy Eagles thread. Instead, I read this?!
You just keep checking for my PM. It will give you less time to mess up my thread. You can call it "goofy", but it is for Eagles fans. It is my favorite thread because it interests me greatly and at least one other person likes it. It's not harming anyone so if you don't like it please stay out of it. I really could not care less about post numbers and just joke about it sometimes. But when people intentionally try to trash a thread for extended periods of time it gets old. Thanks.
Actually, I think it all started when you posted the first picture of Salma Hayek.... http://www.pistonsforum.com/lions-f...hia-eagles-football-thread-27.html#post258805
...Sorry Darth. I think I'm the one that should take responsibility for derailing the Philly thread. My intentions were not malicious and I was only trying to have a little fun. Ok, so back on topic: Spartans lost last night...
Tough loss against Syracuse. Sparty couldn't hold on to the ball, grab a rebound, or make a free throw shot to save their lives. Izzo called them out after the game:
