With our worst player matching their best player shot for shot, the bucks didn't stand a chance.

I don't have any issues with who Cheeks is playing off the bench. Singler's last 2 games are better than anything anyone not named Stuckey has done off the bench. I think Jerebko earned his temporary PT also.

I thought it was the shot blocking, specifically by the Greek guy, that turned the quarter. I didn't notice they were playing zone. The Pistons got multiple put backs blocked that they normally convert. The Greek got Drummond twice, I think.

The Zone shut us down big time in the 2nd qtr, but after that we adjusted and were fine. The biggest issue was our defense, we couldn't get stops in the 2nd so they were allowed to set their zone up after made baskets.

The 2-3 zone defense was very effective against us, specially since our back court had trouble knocking down their shots. However, we figured out in the 3rd quarter that our front court was bigger and stronger than theirs and we just plain outmuscled them. Ugly win but we got it done :)

Although Pizza guy or CV could have inserted in the line up, I am thinking he had to go with that bench for a spell just to give the starters a blow and prepare them for heavy minutes in the second.

After all the flight from Miami was diverted to Chicago because of the weather and they had to ditch Roundball 2 and take a bus to Milwaukee and didn't get in to the hotel until about 6AM yesterday. You could tell by the terrible shooting in the first half that they were kind of lethargic and had difficulties breaking the zone.

What a game of matchups! Middleton vs the Piston starting five, The Greek Fugitive vs the Piston bench, , BK vs BJ, Jorts vs Raduljica, Hammond vs Dumars...

The 4th seed is up for grabs!
    roscoe36 and linwood like this.

I agree. Look for other teams to zone us at times.

3rd seed is also up for grabs. Atlanta has as a pathetic record as we do against 500 or better teams.
