Can this process be sped up by any chance? Can they take him back NOW?

We'll make Saunders the new General Manager of the Pistons, and have Joe Dumars become the coach.

Well, sure, if you can call repeatedly failing and not getting fired..."success"

That's what you call "corporate success". Look at the CEO's of the companies that keep losing money and they keep collecting huge salaries and stock options.

I don't think that the Palace Sports and Entertainment has lost money the last two years.

No, they did not. But Saunders is not a CEO of the organization either. What is being talked about is continued failure, or underachievement if you will, without reprecussions.

I have to admit that I have been flooding some T-Woves message boards, under various handles, talking about how great it would be to have Flip back in Minnesota.

They know a top notch coach when they have one and lose him.

Joe D. also knows when he has a top notch coach and he has one now.

Hopefully there is a strong campaign to bring him back to Minnesota. Anytime this summer would be fine with me.

Any veteran NBA coach worth a darn would have got this team to 2 straight conference Finals. The depth and quality of our roster is easily top 5 in the NBA. Finishing top 4 should be something anyone with experience can do.

Do you think he did a good job managing bench, managing starters minutes throughout the year, and making adjustments in the Cleveland series?

Flip was the best option after LB. Joe had to get him

Their are better options than Flip out their now. Carlisle for one. Yes he got fired here before, but this is a better team than he coached a few years ago. He took Indiana very far despite all the problems.

Van Gundy is also out their. Houston has been a pretty good defensive team while he was their coach as well.

Or if you call finishing better than 27 of the other 29 teams a success...

I don't call that success. That is only partial success. Finishing better than all teams is success.

Isaiah's players didn't give DEN the lane. Are their players tougher than ours?

I don't even buy that because they never bothered to look for anyone else.

No, I call that "close, but no cigar."
