I'm just saying that 1 starter + 1 bench player should = 1 better starter. I don't like these 2 starters for 1 pseudo-star in return type deals.
I also agree. I do think there is a better than average chance we will trade two starters, but I don't think it will be in the same deal.
The problem is that the bench is either expiring or cheap. There isn't much to combine especially since the starters already make less than players at the next level up. It could be two for one or nothing. Which might be a reasonable case for doing nothing other than finally finding a backup small forward.
Other posibility is one starter by 2 first round picks,9 and other pick? We improve our bench level, one small forward and one center like Lopez with 9 pick of Bobcats.
What about Sheed + Maxiell for Amare? CB/Stuck Rip/ Afflalo Tay/ Crappy free agent pickup/ Draft pick Amir/ Dyess Amare/ Ratliff/ Samb
actually sheed for amare works straight-up without having to throw in max. if phoenix agreed to that...goodness that'd be insane. how about this - sheed for amare, tay + chauncey for melo. then you're rolling with a starting lineup of stuckey/rip/melo/amare/whoever ... they'd be fun to watch if nothing else
I was thinking that Phoenix would require more than Sheed in exchange for a young athletic center like Amare. Both Sheed and Maxiell would fit in great with that team, so I think that it is actually a deal that they would consider. Sheed and his 3's would be an asset when paired with Shaq. Also, his defensive ability would turn them into a different type of team. Maxiell would be an alley oop machine on the break to replace what they'd be losing in Amare.
Sheed / Hamilton for Amare / Barbosa / Hill / Tucker Also works under the CBA. You get more athletic with Barbosa and finally come up with a decent backup for Tay.
Amare plays NO D, not very little D, none! No way Joe does that. Besides , he is only a center on a small ball team. Lastly, no way Phoenix trades him after trading away Marion because the two didn't get along.
They have Shaq to play centerfield and bang down low (sounds dirty!) so they can more easily cover for those problem areas. Amare is crazy talented, so don't think I don't like him, just doesn't fit on a team like ours.
(never mind the constant playing for fouls as opposed to finishing the play). [Quote, The Low] - You'll never be satisfied.
Did you hear DBA? Said he was trolling for fouls. He's pretty good at it. He's got the refs in his pocket.
Not to mention both Sheed and Maxiel come off the books next season, and Phx is trying to get under the Lux Tax.
So now we go from CB's big headed delusionalness to AI's pissin' and moaning and excuse making. I loved CB's,"they still aint gonna beat us" [down 3 games to 1] Take your pick.
