That wasn't a tribute to U of M's ability, my friend. It was a statement about MSU's ineptness and lack of heart. Especially without a running back.
Yeah...we'll most likely lose Saturday...but overall I'm looking toward the bright side of all of this. First the bad stuff: Two sucky losses: first to over-rated ND by virtue of coaching complacency, then to the Illini...to little, too late Lost Ringer for the season and Stanton got banged up (? to me, that play didn't look vicious enough for him to go to the locker room...who knows?) The O-line has been decimated by injuries and the secondary sucks, just like last year. Now the good stuff: I like the LB crew...just don't leave them alone to take on Manningham cutting thru the middle...two guys have to keep him on their radar at all times. Jimmerson will be getting heavy freshman experience and a chance to show his stuff. Caulcrick will get the ball more than he has and drive 'the bus'. Stanton will play...but I don't have any problem with Hoyer stepping in...he can sling it. Personally, I'd like to see JohnL rotate them on possessions...just to give the opposing defense different things to think about...and hopefully keep the Spartan O interested enough to play for an ENTIRE game. UM definitely shouldn't be overlooking the Spartans. MSU is so freakin' unpredictable. Tell ya what, though, if the Spartans don't show up, John L's days are numbered. And they should be. The coach has to be a master motivater and he's done a lousy job.
I think Michigan will win, but Michigan State is going to make a game of it. They have nothing to lose.
MSU will win just because their season is already ruined and UofM can't go the whole year without messing up a game they should win.

super...let's make another bet If OSU beats MSU next Sat and UM wins...I'll wear the corn & blue for another week. If MSU wins and UM wins...you get Sparty for 2 days...you'd owe State that much credit for knocking off #1. If UM loses and MSU loses...it's a push. If MSU wins AND Paterno beats UM...you wear green & white for TWO weeks. The odds are heavily in your favor...you up to it?
