I'll put this here---if you want to--move it.

    Billups was 3rd.

I just can't hardly figure he's in the same league as the other repeaters in history.

Kobe was in the same situation, for the regular season. Disappointed Chauncey didn't get more--just shows how balanced the Pistons are.
For the record, Bill Walton revealed he voted Billups and I heard an interview of David Stern singing his praises.

I am not suprised Nash won it. I believe the NBA was rooting for King James, however, they couldn`t control the (media, announcers etc..) voters.

Chauncey was a strong candidate about the first 2/3 of the season before the Pistons hit that bump in the road. Perhaps, if that bump would have been avoided, Chauncey may have finished stronger in the voting.

What does surprise me is that Elton Brand recieved 1 first place vote. Now that`s criminal.

    Billups was 5th. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2436205

I think that is about where CB shoulda been, too. When you're on a balanced team, it is difficult to stand out. C-Note said on "Quite Frankly" recently that the "best player on the best team" should win the award, and then he said, "That's me." C-Note's head has grow two hat sizes this season. I think you could make a case for c-note being 4th because nowitzki is too soft.

I don't think Nash was worthy of a MVP repeat. But then, that's my opinion, and apparently, it doesn't matter.
I would have given MVP to either LeBron James or Elton Brand.

IMO Nash deserved it. Look what he did with the Suns without Amare.
If he isn't playing that team doesn't make the playoffs. Just like they didn't make the playoffs the year before he got there.

Nope. He's not worthy. No MVP should get punked on D as regular as rain. I also don't believe his teams accomplishments were outstanding.

Ever since Lebron was booed at home he has become way more clutch and I think he deserved it. And Elton Brand might get the lowly Clippers to the Conference Finals..or maybe even the Finals.

I think Steve Nash has been great, and while I may have voted for someone else, I don't begrudge him this honour.

I will point out however that I think it a bit strange that he is now a repeat MVP while JKidd, GP, Stockton and Isiah collectively have zero MVPs. Is Nash better than any of those guys? Is he more valuable to his team than those guys were to theirs when they were leading their squads to the Finals (and in Isiah's case, to championships)?

Nash was fairly far down my list. I don't think he was even the MVP on his own team. Marion put up better across the board numbers and accounted for a higher share of the Suns' production than Nash.

Besides, I'm tired of the Suns being such media darlings. I'm tired of this constant aren't they fun crap. Winning is fun. Running up and down the court all day is just tiring. And jeez, come on, the man makes many millions of dollars a year - and that's the best haircut he can come up with?

Worthy of MVP this year? Yes.

Amongst the greatest of all-time to play this game? No.

Keep in mind this is a regular season award not a playoff award.

Greatest in this league is largely measured by playoff success.

Tonight is showing why the Suns are nothing without Nash.

Game is really close. Nash has 9 asisists but only one is recent and even though Marion is playing well the Suns are barely hanging on. Nash isn't shooting well either.
