Someone please let me know when it is safe to watch SportsCenter and not see the story of Wade being the new Michael Jordan. I've been on a self-imposed blackout since Miami won. I didn't want to see all the coverage of Miami celebrating. I hoped I might be in the clear by today. No dice. 2nd teaser in the intro was a photo montage of Wade and Jordan with this voiceover "Is it time to admit that Dwyane Wade really is as good as Michael Jordan?" and "We'll tell you why the numbers don't lie" or some such nonsense. For me, this really is the worst side effect of Miami winning the championship. If only Dallas could have won. We could be seeing puff pieces about Dirk, Avery and Cuban. Maybe it's better to just not watch ESPN until next season!
I wonder how many pieces they would have run on the Pistons or Dirk Nowitzki if the winner was different.
