When I left at the end or the third I think he only had 8 fouls and must have fouled out sometime during the 4th. As far as the quality of play, well you would probably would have more fun at a high school game, but in this case as you said most were just there to see the future stars. I almost certain today I will only see all of the Piston game and just a part of the next game afterwards, then I am out. After all there are other things to do when in Vegas.
Oh Dre I am so jealous though. I love Las Vegas and I would love to be watching these newly drafted players live and then heading out to watch a hot craps table and then staring at the Bellagio fountains while the music plays "My Way" and then...repeating the above for nine days. I am going to start saving right now to go to Summer League next year. I don't care if the games aren't very good, it's not like these guys are a "team" yet. I like it, it's like some wierd NBA version of streetball, all pandemonium and flailing arms and legs in what looks like a small building. Too cool. And if you get bored......Vegas Baby Vegas.
Re: Detroit Pistons Summer League Tracker Marco Bellinelli looks pretty good. Nice outside touch and quick release. I think the Warriors might have gotten a good one with him.
Re: Detroit Pistons Summer League Tracker Belinelli is an absolute monster out there. 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting and it's only halfway through the 2nd quarter. He even pulled up at about 35 feet and knocked it down like it was nothing. Stuckey better not let me down.
Pierre Pierce GS Warrior summer league guard. NBA.com : Summer League 2007 I have no comments but present the following in the public interest for those who may be attending these games with their daughters, wife, mother, girlfriend or other female acquaintances. 2007 Pepsi Pro Summer League starting today is the orlando summer camp. Orlando, Charlotte, Indiana, Chicago, new jersey and Miami. seems like you can watch live and its under the NBA banner so i assume games will be archived.
Off of two games so far it appears that T. Young who is about 11 months older than K. Durant is a lot closer to being able to compete in the NBA this year. Of course as someone just pointed out these are only SL games and maybe Durant is saving his best for the real action.
The Las vegas summer league crowds will now be disapponited as Greg Oden will probaby miss the rest of the summer league as he needs a to tonsilectomy:Cry: FOX Sports on MSN - NBA - Report: Blazers' Oden getting tonsils removed
Thaddeus Young. This guy is really good. I have seen him play 4 games so far in the SL and he is really impressive. Right now I would say he is ahead of Durant in his pro game, simply because he can rebound and be very effective underneath. TY will be a real good one.
Al Thorton looked good out there today in the Clipper victory over the Grizzlies. 19 points on 8/18 shooting and 9 boards (9 fouls and 6 TO's) too. He would have been great pick up for the pistons if we didn't need that backup guard for CB. He would have been an immediate back for Tay, or Tay would have been his backup I am sure the only way the Pistons would have taken Thorton is if the Clips had grabbed Stuckey first. he would have been that explosive slasher that we are still lacking IMO. Chris Kamen even looked good trying to rehabilitate him self with 21 pts..
