Here's the salary cap/CBA FAQ, jammer.
Is he related to: 1. Bonzi Wells 2. David Wells 3. Kip Wells 4. Willie Wells (HOF) 5. Orson Wells 6. Boone "Dry Wells" Pickens 7. H.G. Wells 8. Wells Fargo 9. Jules Vernon 10. Mount Vernon 11. Vernon's ginger ale
I knew I saw it somewhere on this site! Roscoe broke down the new points from the CBA FAQ site that D4E just re-posted the link to. A very good "Coles Notes" version for us lazy people. :P http://www.pistonsforum.com/nba-stuff/791-lm-coons-nba-salary-cap-faq-updated-2005-cba.html
The rule is basically this... NBA Salary Cap FAQ And there is also this to consider... After Rod Thorn (NJ) claimed Elden Campbell off waivers from Utah and basically screwed us around on the Arroyo trade, I think Joe will be careful trying this stunt again. It requires everyone to be in cahoots, releasing a player with salary value that you want back, but don't want anyone else to claim. Risky business.
Um... not as far as I know. Hahaha But his father, Vernon Wells Sr. (Vernon Wells III) played in the CFL and also painted playing cards for Upper Deck in the 1990's.
That's right. I forgot about Elden. It worked out well with Hunter, but the Elden attempt got a bit nasty. Thorn did it to spite the Pistons and Campbell threatened to retire. Its definitely a risky move.
