I am praying that Team Carmelo read Simmon's article and makes a few phone calls. We need him here in [STRIKE]LA...[/STRIKE]Clipperland...he can be the difference maker to unseat those LA Fakers and their even faker fans.

Once again on the local Laker radio station this morning, they were trying to devise plans to steal Blake Superior from the Clippers and put him in Purple and Gold in 3 years...just as Kobe folds the tent. We cannot have that happen.

Send Melo to LA for Kaman, Amini, Diogu and Butler and the draft pick. The Pistons can send Tay and Max to Clippers and Rip to Denver and we get Bledsoe and Nene and second round pick from one of them....

Somebody put this in the trade machine and let me know if the money works out.....:sssh:

Melo to LAC for Kaman and picks is easy, dumping Rip in the same deal.......... not so easy. The gig is up on Rip, if Melo won't sign the extension we're stuck with this guy unless we package him with a pick and/or young'n.

Does anyone actually look at Hamilton as the team captain anyway? Talk about an undeserved title.

well its all well and good to want a defensive pf that can score and bang on the inside.. But if there are none to be had? I mean you dont go to a ford dealership and complain that theyre all out of the 69 mustang. Bad analogy I know but who is it that you suggest we get? and who is willing to take rip in return?I am happy JD is at least trying to deal rip and make some room for a fa, my only fear is he'll sign another stiff.

Like a 4th PF who loves to shoot 3's and can't guard anyone? Joe is going to buy all the Ford's.

Looks OK, but I was hoping that the Pistons got a real PG out of it....Ty Lawson, or Eric Bledsoe

Meh... Ty Lawson would be nice, but Denver's already going to want a king's ransom for Carmelo, and they're not going to want to give up a lot else, especially their future at point.

I'd rather we not pin our future hopes on the likes of Devin Harris and Chris Kaman. These two aren't exactly a picture of durability.

At this point I'm cheering for the Murphy/Petro for Rip trade, but won't be the end of the world if it doesn't happen.

Word has it the trade could go down this weekend.

One quote says that Billups doesn't want to leave denver.
One quote states that Rip is willing and wants to leave Detroit
One quotes says that Anthony want to play with Rip
One quote says it is believed that adding Rip to any deal will better the chances of Carmelo signing an extension.

My question is, what would Denver have to do/lose just to trade for Rip? Who wants to go to New Jersey?

Denver has 'Melo to lose. He doesn't want to be there - he wants to play in a bigger market. Denver knows that it has to get something for Melo while it can.

The latest on this is we send Rip & Summers to NJ for Murpy and Petro, plus a 2nd round pick.
