OK, now we can ask questions on anything under the sun. Sports or otherwise. e.g. Which two forum members/moderators/owners are cross dressers? How many Stomachs does a cow have? Who won Super Bowl 20? etc. If you get it correct you are tagged and you get to ask the next question. No looking up answers. Cheaters never prosper. I'll start. What is an "ephus pitch"? (You don't need to be exact on this one, just be close).
It's like an exaggerated slow arcing pitch they used to use in baseball..maybe Satchel Page threw it? Anyway I use the term when I'm playing catch with my son.
Good Bill. Tag, you're it. It's a pitch thats really slow and is easy to hit but has an almost vertical arc. It's rarely thrown these days.
Sticking with baseball....what was the Homer in the Gloamin'? edit: just give a general description...very general. This isn't an essay question.
Homer in the Gloamin............. grandpa used to talk baseball to me all the time. I can't remember the example he gave me, but I think it refers to a walk off home run.
Well...it was a home run so I'll give you credit. It refers to a famous Wrigley Park Homer hit when it was nearly dark. Gabby Hartnett in the 1930s. You are it.
There were "The Three Stooges" who were famous on TV and the Movies. How many different stooges were there during their historic run, and what were their names????
Roscoe, Slippy, Jammer, Motown, and Linwood? Moe, Larry, CurlyJoe, Shemp, and Joe are the ones I recall.
Very good..............you're it. These were the original three.........Larry, Moe and Curly. The three replacements were ........Shemp, Joe, and Curly Joe Three of them were brothers Moe Howard, Curly Howard, and Shemp Howard............
Ok, Here is an oldie... (two part question) Who played The Flying Nun in the TV series? Her name in the show was Sister______? (Don't worry about spelling)
Sally Field has always been a favorite of mine...................... Goldie Hawn got her start on a weekly show which premiered in 1968. Name the show and three others who were on it...
Laugh-In Dan Rowan, Dick Martin, Artie Johnson, Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi, Gary Owens, Jo Ann Worley, Judy Carne...who am I leaving out? I remember Tiny Tim & Flip Wilson doing spots but they weren't regulars.
Geez, I guess this game should be Old Fogies Tater Tag. Maybe we could try a question relevant to the last couple of decades you old farts!
