Offensively, JJ isn't the worst option we have at the 4. Defensively, he allows a 24+ PER. Thats not on. But I would put that more on Franks systems, than I would on JJ. CV isn't actually that bad. Worth what he gets paid? Of course not. But if you were paying him $3m and he was giving you what he gives us for 20mpg it would be a good investment.
JJ needs to be Singler's backup, not Maxiell's. Play JJ as the backup SF that he is, and put an end to the Stuckey at the 3 BS and everything would improve. As it is, we are one Slava injury away from seeing an all-PG lineup on the court. And Panda, I'm sorry, but CV is totally, definitely, without a doubt, absolutely that bad. The thing that's the worst is that his body language and his demeanor on the court just looks like he doesn't care about anything. He's a terrible influence and needs to go away.
Bynum + _______+ shooter McGee + shooter McGavin + Drummond was pretty awesome to watch though. It's not the same since the band broke up.
Hold on a minute. We are talking about talent here right? Because in terms of actual basketball ability, he quite easily cracks the top 5 of the Pistons. Demeanor and effort - I won't argue.
So basically what you're saying is that if the NBA decides to move toward a H-O-R-S-E format instead of playing actual basketball games, CV will prove to be worth every dollar that the Pistons are paying him.
Going by PER alone, CV does have the 5th best on the Pistons (after Drummond, Calderon, Monroe, and Bynum).
I haven't checked but I have to imagine that he also has the 5th worst PER on the team. On an unrelated note, my grandmother is the 4th hottest chick at the Nursing Home.
Actually, Charlie is rated 153rd out of 334 qualified NBA players. He is ahead of: 168th: Daye 169th: Jerebko 196th: Knight 215th: Stuckey 220th: Prince 244th: Maxiel 276th: Singler
I think its a combination of being badly used and not putting in effort. The guys career is essentially over in the NBA
...and to be fair, Brian Hill was under the influence of some pretty heavy hallucinogenics or something. How else can you explain some of those "psychedelic lineups" that he was deploying. He wasn't trying to win the game. He was just trying to trip-out the 1,500 or so fans that came out to the Palace to "experience" the Knicks/Pistons game live.
