I am salivating like all of Pavlov's dogs over here Cloud if this scenario comes to fruition.

By the way, you better stop posting so sporadically around here, I miss you when you stay away so long, you must think you are grown, lol. We go back a loooong way Cloud.

If we look at Cloud's scenario, especialy if you consider the rumor that suggests the Pistons picking up Washngton's #5, enter Thabeet, the resigning of Laimbeer.

Maybe it's all a plan to have Laim's come in as an asst or head coach to mentor the young guy. This is wishful thinking, but again, just trying to outhink Joe D.

Right on Dre. I have talked to a lot of Ohio State fans here, and they hate BJ Mullens. The only way Joe D takes Mullens is to trade him to another team IMHO. Mullens is a serious Buster, I shutter to think what life would be like on this Forum if Joe gets a "Senior Moment" and draft this stiff.

Yeah right...I don't think anyone is worried about being duped after the Billups trade if anything Joe is probably turning down crappy offers left and right.

I just saw his profile on NBAtv and he said that he would like to play like Dirk because he likes the way that he shoots the ball.

    Deja vu.

Do those OSU fans hate him because of his play or because he opted for the draft?

I understand the need to get younger and hungrier. However, my High School team is younger and hungrier than the Pistons roster, but we would go 0-82 in the NBA. Well we might beat OKC Thunder lol. If youth is the game, how about this lineup?

    PG Stuckey
    SG Trent Plaisted Cousin
    SF Trent Plaisted Nephew
    PF Trent Plaisted Brother
    C Trent Plaisted

We would be young, Hungry, and have team chemistry. With this lineup and our current head coach, we might be able to party like it was 2004.

    Nice rant :pound:

But emphatically proclaiming him a bust based on a nebulous 'question mark' seems a bit over the top. Mullens put up decent numbers in 2 games against eventual NCAA Championship runner-up MSU. He looked motivated and pretty darn good by my estimation.

Me thinks the Darko experience has made Piston fans overly gun-shy of drafting a 1st round young big. The difference is Mullens would be the 15th pick in a crappy draft vs #2 in a great draft class. IMO he's a low risk gamble whether Joe keeps him or trades him to OKC to ditch Amir.

Would you like 24 additional reasons?

DraftExpress NBA Draft Prospect Profile: B.J. Mullens, Stats, Comparisons, and Outlook

So maybe he played hard against MSU. That's two games. I want guys on my team that play hard all the time. Why replace the old light switch just to get a new one that flickers on and off? There are too many things about this guy that send up red flags.

Correct. In a sense, you are dealing in diamonds.
