hey buddy, nice to see you around again!

I think we should spend the MLE on Alex Acker!

might want to see how the rest of the season plays out. It's a little too early to decide on the MLE. Can we spend it on a new coach? One with a pulse?

In this next off season I think:

Sheed should workout and lose that flab,

Tashawn should develop a right hand layup,

Flip should be forced to watch 8 hours of Flip Jr. tape,

Flip Jr. should begin a round the world cruise in late summer,

Naz should spend the summer at the Lambier house,

Blaylock and Delfino should have to shoot 150,000 12 ft jumpers,

Maxiel should study film of Dennis Rodman's rebound positioning and footwork,

Chauncey should have to write an essay, "Why the team is way more important than me,"

Joe should spend some time looking for his mojo.:stirthepot:

This offseason we "start out" with 10 players under contract if my math's right. That's assuming Dice don't opt out. I vote we re-sign Chauncy and Amir. That's 12.

Next we have four picks in the draft. Both #1s should make the squad (I'm lookin for a "5" and a "1/2"), to give us 14. That leaves one spot for a grizzled vet (Davis) or a prospect (Samb/Acker), or a MLE pickup.

    Depends on who we draft.

If Chauncey needs more than 11M first year try to work a S&T for an upandcoming PG and an expiring deal (vet big).

Wait on the MLE until we see what offers Amir gets (we may need it to sign him).
Hopefully split the MLE on Amir & Acker

Let Jr. know that his minutes are going elsewhere... he'll opt out.

Deal Sheed for an expiring & a young defensive center (along the lines of Sammy or Bynum).

Package both picks to acquire a young big that has 2+ years experience... this draft blows for bigs after #19.

Use Dice's expiring deal to acquire a future pick or talented SG/SF.... this can wait til next February for insurance at PF in case our young bigs aren't ready.

Hunter becomes player coach (emphasis on coach)... used only if we have injuries

Maxiell becomes the starting PF (if he learns to pass).
I still think Nazr could be useful playing against bench scrubs for 10 MPG... Tazer will likely retire or go to another team (considering his PT here).

The common theme is to bring in quick young (but not too young) players that can defend and get to the rack.
