Everyone is entitled to choose teams of their heart and the truth be told, just having your loyalty depend on where you live geographically doesn't show that much intelligence or cognitive discretion as a sports fan anyway. Take me for instance! I grew up in Indiana, near Chicago. I should be a Chicago Bears and Bulls fan and Indianapolis Colts fan but I am So not. I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan (I liked their uniforms when I was a kid and I still do) and a Detroit Pistons fan. I fell in love with the Pistons and I wasn't raised genetically or geographically to love them and I may never see them play in the Palace but my heart is lost to them forever. So we can't choose who we love, you know...love chooses us...la de da...I know I didn't want to love Chauncey that's for sure!!!! LOL. And frankly I'm not all that thrilled about the Pistons right now, but none of my affair teams are working for me...Nash is the only guy on any of my affair teams that I can get at all worked up about anymore. All my other six affair teams...whatever...I just want the Pistons to get better so I can pay top dollar to see them once a year...I want my babies back! Now Darthie! Hey, Kimmie: Where in Indiana are you from?? Sounds like the Calumet region. I worked in Whiting for Union Carbide for 9 years. Right accross the railroad tracks from the old Std. Oil refinery. Lived in Hammond, Munster, and Glenwood, IL. I've long since moved from there, but the smell lingers on. Of course, I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, so the Detroit teams are all my favorites.
