No doubt. I can't see how Owens is the bad guy for pointing out that Belichik and the Pats are cheaters.
I'll use this thread for Patriot Related News! Report: Patriots are exploring the possibility of trading up SI's King: Pats explore trading up - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com I hope Sanchez goes early to Seattle for then Jacksonville will trade their 8th and Patriots can snag Crabtree (I keep hearing it's an offensive player) OR even go defense...it seems Aaron Curry is dropping or take sort of a project in Orakpo. Maybe even Tyson Jackson if Richard Seymour leaves since he wants money and a lot more teams are going to 3-4 defenses. I AM PUMPED!
This thread is a good idea. If you see any news pieces on what sort of equipment the Pats film teams will be using, you know, Spy vs. Spy stuff, I hope you will post it.
Although dorky S v S was my favorite Mad read. - And Pats aint moving up. They say it's a bad idea to move up. Only loser teams do it.
Vince Wilfork ask Bill to trade up to 8th for BJ Raji, it seems. Wilfork is getting older and doesn't want to be out on the field all the time for defense, as he wants rest. They "sort of traded up for Ron Brace though.
This is what I would have done if I was GM of Detroit. Get several players per pick to plug as many holes as possible. Once the holes are filled, then focus on upgrading. As is, it won't do us much good now to have 3 great players and 19 lousy ones. And that is assuming Stafford will be great, which in my opinion is a reach. Definitely not a gimme.
Bill Belichick is nothing short of being the man. Only reason he wanted the 8th overall pick, was because Vince Wilfork asked him to take a nose tackle and BJ Raji was the best there was in the draft. But what do you do when a draft is consider weak? Well you trade down to the 2nd and 3rd round and GET picks next year. At one point Bill had 4 second and 4 third round picks to play with. He actually traded two third rounders for two second rounders next year. 13 PICKS for next year's draft. Patrick Chung was Bill's first pick and I absolute love the pick. A young safety who can play FS and SS, but will most likely play SS. He is compared to Brian Dawkins AS HE HAS Leadership skills AND is ballhawk. Amazing pick. Ron Brace was the nose tackle that Bill traded up with the Raiders for, and I like the pick. Wilfork needs rest and Ron Brace can more then sure step in and give Big Nasty a rest when he needs it. Darius Butler! A 1st round talent who got token in the 40s! An absoulte stud who should more then likely compete for the job. Bodden as you Lions fans know was signed by the Patriots and is who I believe is the best CB on the roster, but I wouldn't be surpise if Butler can compete for the #1 CB. Brandon Tate is another awesome prospect and great receiver. He's stupid for smoking weed right before the combine, but since Ellis Hobbs was traded to the Patriots, I can see Brandon Tate as the main KR and PR. Not to mention, when Brandon Tate got hurt, Hakeem Nicks stole the spotlight, but Brandon Tate has GOT 1st talent and was taken in the third round and some who watch UNC football say he was the man before doing down and Nicks taking the spot. Even when just getting solid depth players (although I strongly believe Chung will start and Butler can compete for the job) , Patriots make an awesome draft. NFL <- should be all the teams who face the Pats next season. They might not go 16-0 once again, but they can do some major damage.
Brett Favre coming back? ^ someone's cool Photoshop Ed Werder: QB Brett Favre to meet with Vikings HC Childress Source: Brett Favre to talk to Brad Childress about playing - ESPN
Can CBS, Fox, ESPN/ABC or the NFL Network please offer Brett a plum announcing job so that he can stop with these ridiculous comeback attempts. The dude just wants to be in the news all the time.
Make up your mind. Sheesh. Favre is retiring...as of this minute he is...but maybe by the time I hit submit he will unretire. Report: Favre tells Childress he's still retired - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
