After this season the Nets will have 7 players under contract, using only $23 mil of cap space: Devin Harris, Brook Lopez, Courtney Lee, Yi Jianlin, and 3 others.

Building around a terrific PG, promising young C, defensive SG and hit or miss SF prospect, + $30mil cap space. Wow, that's a pretty damn nice blue-print for the future. Hats off to the Nets.

Took a couple years but they're doing a great job rebuilding from that aging, overpaid, go-nowhere previous cast.

Sooo, Brook, Courtney, Devin, Yi, here's wishing you fine ladies all the best for the future!

By the way- doesn't this situation look about 10x more appealing than CLE if you're Lebron?

By the way 2- clevelands roster is freaking gross. How many games would they have won last year without LBJ, 25? By the way, I hate LBJ.

Do they have the most FA availability for next year? They are a big market, so they have an advantage.

What's the point of having the cap space though if Ben Gordon and CV are already off the market?

NJ looks damn good for the future. A good young All-STar caliber PG in Harris, and a good young 7' C, a new Russian owner with deep pockets and shallow sense. This is a great place for Wade, Bosh, Amare, or that other dude everybody keeps talking about, if they sign LBJ or Wade, NJ could be very good for a very long time.

Now if they can only figure out where they'll be playing...

    Queens or Moscow?

Yes.. Brook Lopez is great, man.

I think that He'll be a dominant C and maybe an All-Star contender in the next few years.

If Lebron is really going to New York City area, he should choose the Nets. Man, the Knicks are horrible and turrible.

They will be playing in Brooklyn. But the grandiose plans have been scaled down. Let the traffic nightmares begin.

This is an old story from Saturday but we got to keep this thread alive for the 0-7 JAY-Z Nets

O.k. admittedly it's a pet peeve of mine, but given that he has tested positive, can't they say he actually has the flu rather than flu-like symptoms.

I am opposed to the swine flu because it is not kosher.
