Time for Stern to implement his woman in the NBA scenario and see if Joe can sign Deanna to replace Rip. She is as tough as he can probably shoot better than at least 10 of the current Pistons. Either that or she and Katie Smith start their own franchise, grab a few FA and play in the Joe...I'll invest $500 to be part owner..
Good for Katie, but splitting up this team by sending them to Tulsa and Katie, Tweety and Mahorn going else where just added to the sad state of sports in SE Michigan. It was the only team in the area to actually win at least three titles during a time when the city needed winners. It's unfortunate that they didn't get enough support. A move to the Joe what have done wonders to keep them in the city. Katie probably needs to retire and go into modeling or acting while she still looks good
The dumbest move was having to place in the cavernous Palace and watch the game paying Pistons prices. There is no way this team should not have had their home games at either Wayne States field house or Cobo at the least. Not the JLA though, but I bet they would have filled it more than they did up in auburn Hills.
