May be the closest game I've played in all season...I may have to stay up for that Portland-Phoenix final.

Oh dear all my projections based on incomplete information. Big Ben won't be playing today according to Yahoo Fantasy Basketball notes. He reinjured both his knees. And I do care so much more for Big Ben's knees than the relative fate of my team but I fear without Big Ben's rebounds the Smooth Criminals will be going down for the count.

My guys are clearly on the take.

Ginobili, Jamison, Kaman, Brooks and Harrington combined for 16 rebounds and 6 assists today. (Granted, Ginobili still has a quarter or so to improve on his 1 rebound and 3 assists)

So now of the Smooth Crims, Ron Artest, Grant Hill, and Amare Stoudemire have to make up my whopping two-rebound three-assist advantage and out-rebound and out-assist Al Thornton to win those categories. The same Al Thornton who gave me a grand total of 4 rebounds and two assists in his first two games this week. :messer:

If Thornton can hold them off while clinging to my razor-thin free-throw margin (.006), then I'm sending him to Disneyland.

wow. Five assists is all that I am clinging to in my lead over Ballaholics. Balla has three quarters of Odom left to make up the differential. Intense.

so...my matchup depends on Mikhail's (BC Kyiv) Brandon Roy. I (small ball fan) have an advantage 5-4 but only beatable statistic for team from Ukraine is FG% - it is .471 vs .486 for me.

In short Brandon Roy's FG% will decide it.

Now my bad news: andrew bynum, marc gasol and tyreke evans are out. Gasol and evans are DTD, but they will miss next week game or two for sure.

Unbelievable. The 1 (me), 2 (Det) and 3 (Mossberg) seeds all get upset. The 4 seed (rax) narrowly edges the 5 (Mik). The consolation bracket will be crazy. My guys are coming for vengeance, and they're taking it out on you, BK Kyiv!!!!

Weird stat of the day: My team would have beaten freethrowsbaby this week, who beat Debt Team. But my team would NOT have beaten Debt Team. It's all about the matchups.

What a first round. 1~3 all upset and #4 is the highest seed to advance.

It is anyone's title to win (or lose).

Rax goes from being cannon fodder to the favorite.

    Wow!

So me and Rufus rented out Hunter S. Thompson's old crib up in Aspen and took the entire Squirrels roster up there for a weekend retreat. Lots of booze and hallucinogens were consumed. When I awoke this morning in the back seat of a stranger's car in the parking lot of a truck stop in Cement City, Colorado, I logged on to check the PFNFBL results and thought I was still tripping.

    ...just wow!

Congrats to all the teams who advanced!

...Congrats to CJ for your "regular season championship" and for being known as the "Flip Saunders" of the PFNFBL league moving forward.

I'm in good mood today so I'm ignoring that "cannon fodder" remark, Roscoe.

I'm not supposed to pick favorites, but you're due for some fantasy success Rax, and the runway has been cleared for you to compete for a title now.

I wouldn't call it so much a conspiracy as the "Kiss Of Death".

It's really too bad, Rax. It would have been fantastic to have all 4 top seeds in the consolation bracket. We're going to live it up down there as soon as we're done licking our wounds. :swear2:

We finished right where we were expected to finish.
The Coynesters on the other hand...

My Squirrels played the toughest schedule and had to overcome more adversity than any team in our league. We dealt with everything from legal issues, gun charges, suspensions and Monday morning injuries all season. In spite of this, we're taking it all in stride. In fact, we're kinda happy that our off-season started early so that we can get down to the important business of devoting our entire focus to the vices that make us who we are.

    Squirrels fo' LIFE!

I will not go down 0-9 to State and Main like I did in the final week of the season. It's revenge time baby...Time for Collison to step it up and show everyone New Orleans is HIS show, and that bum Paul needs to shipped out for 2nd n 3rd round draft picks! :gun1:
