The Sprockets have edged into playoff contention and are just 2.5 games out of fourth. Surely this weeks quick trouncing of the m-waves will make that up. It's important to peak at the right time - i.e., when everyone else has loads of injured players.
Tough end of the week. Kidd gets held out of games, Hinrich misses some time with a bad back, and Ben Wallace misses last night because of a death in the family. So, Sprockets lose 5-4 only needing seven points and five assists to turn it around to winning 6-3. Kidd ought to sit out the all-star game if he's going to sit out team games waiting for a trade.
Yea, I missed 8 player-games (Arenas, Garnett, Howard) in the 5-day week and luckily managed to only lose 5-3. I agree about Kidd. That "almost trade" certainly had an effect on a few games this week.
My team has finally moved out of last place! My number one pick has been playing with more enthusiasm since moving to Miami. Hopefully, DWayde can start playing "the team game" and hook up Marion with a lot of touches!
Ouch, got seriously torched by the Lights 6-2-1. Combine that with the Infirmary collapsing yet again to the M-waves and the Sprockets have slipped back out of playoff contention - down by two games with two weeks to go. At least we have cool uniforms.
I believe the playoffs start next Monday, March 24. Mikhail crushed me this past week. I think my team is going to have "dead legs" heading into the post-season. I should have played my bench more.
Thinking there were two weeks between now and 3/24 and finding out there is only one not only hurts my playoff hopes, but will put a pretty substantial burden on my work life too. Wonder what I did last week...
I was due for a win. Gotta admit though, didn't expect it to be that bad. But real fun begins a week from now.
There is absolutely no chance at all of my team making the playoffs. Accordingly, the team is playing at a very high level right now, beating contenders, making the news with record games, and dominating the opposition. (at least for a couple of weeks!) Maybe next year. Good luck to those of you bound for the playoffs!
I used to never think that way, but now that you have moved into first place, maybe you're onto something...
Comon, Bill, look at my roster. Anyone expected Hill to go out there and perform? Or Bynum... Or Richardson pulling 30+ pts games... I got lucky with Scola with Yao getting injured. Jefferson is putting up career numbers. Ricky Davis is up there with Wade getting injured... Camby barely missing any games... Baron Davis having a career year... And I autodrafted to boot. I call it luck.
Mine too. Kind of ironic that you & I are 1 & 2 in this last week before the playoffs. We must be lucky. :D
Looks like: 1) Mikhail 2) Detteam 3) Slippy 4) Bill Jr 5) Bill 6) Roscoe Round 1 Mikhail & Detteam get byes Bill vs. Bill Jr-winner plays Mikhail in round 2 Slippy vs. Roscoe-winner plays Detteam in round 2 edit: Bill & Bill Jr might switch places at 4 & 5, but will still play each other in round 1
Hey Linwood! From the advanced league thread... Would you please lockdown the novice league in similar fashion?
