You can thank me for letting you have Jermaine. I drafted him in the 5th round, but he is just not putting up big numbers this year. He is currently 33rd in production from centers so far this season. Perhaps this will improve when he is 100% healthy.

I experienced the injury problem for the first time last week. Lost Tim Thomas for 1 game to a sprained ankle (maybe more to follow this week) and Boobie for 2 games because of a wisdom tooth, of all things. Those two account for 40% of my 3's...which I lost by a wide margin last week. :(

Ben Gordon's #s are not living up to my expectations, but then again no one on the Bulls has really played up to par this season. Another thing about the Bulls...they have played the fewest games of any team in the NBA so far this season...only 21. Before tonight's play Toronto, Orlando, Utah, Seattle & Dallas have the most games at 25.

I got my share of fun. Bibby went down before season even began, then I had Stojakovic, and Kevin Martin go on IR. Someone snapped Kevin off the waiver already. Enjoy.

From all the sources I read Martin was going to be out 4-6 weeks. Unfortunately, I can't carry that dead weight for so long.

I have a question about the % categories. Does anyone know how Yahoo calculates them for the week's matchup? Do they:

    1) Add the % for each player and then divide that # by the # of roster spots

    or

    2) Divide total makes by total attempts for all players on the roster

#2 makes more sense to me, but I haven't studied the numbers close enough to tell if that's how they do it.

I assume the latter, though I can't find the definitions anywhere on the Yahoo site.

What a screwed up night for my team. Clippers(Maggette & Tim Thomas) vs Spurs(Manu).

Maggette was a DNP because of a sore knee that wasn't reported by yahoo until after the game. Thomas goes out at 2:05 into the game with what was called a knee sprain but is getting an MRI tomorrow (not good), then Manu goes out later in the 1st qtr with a sprained finger and didn't return.

Three guys down in the same game :frusty: The only stats I got were 1 rebound & 2 missed FT's by Thomas. :(

I believe that getting two of your guys hurt in the same game is getting "Linwooded". Having two of your guys hurt each other is getting "Sprocketed".

Those of us in the lower middle pack have to reach for notoriety everywhere we can.

T.J. Ford's latest prognosis is "retirement." A few days ago he had an "arm stinger" whatever that is. Now the team is saying he may be finished for good. I've gone from injury to career-ending-injury. Meanwhile, I quickly dropped Grant Hill at the beginning of the season, because I thought he may be too fragile. My GM skills are at an all time low, and for me, thats really saying something.

The Sprockets have been taking it easy over the holidays, but now they're ready to get going again.

So, I should thank you for Grant. :stirthepot:
I've had my share of people getting injured. Bibby, Kevin Martin, Peja... I had to rework my roster.

O.k., so drafting a team with the chance to win four cats easily every week and hoping they could eek out another one or two doesn't seem to be paying off as planned. I've lost six of nine weeks 4-5 (won two of the other three weeks).

Course, if only about half of my players who shot over 44% last year but are shooting under 36% this year could manage to score every now and then it might turn things around.

I've had an autodraft and got lucky, at least so far, with G.Hill and Bynum. I don't know if you can really use stats when drafting. It's more of a luck factor, as far as I can tell.

It's possible, although I didn't even look at the overall draft.
