yeah i'm nervous, all the best teams are making the playoffs, and teams like aurora i just can't beat. matchup problems!! lol.

i feel like i can roll with anyone as long as my guys are all healthy. i've had some key injuries this year but have managed to stay in 1st. now joe johnson and okafor have gone down, and i'm worried they'll sit out the season since neither team is making the playoffs, in which case it's going to be nearly impossible to win the league.

lately every team i play against is shooting like 55%, so hopefully that luck will turn around come playoff time. if i can pull the two % categories i've got a great chance of taking 3 of the others.

I'm afraid of Aurora's squad- these guys managed to beat up the Wackjob's twice and 3 of my main guys are down. I don't want no early exit!!!

Oh I care I care. Don't take my silence for lack of interest by any means. With the walls of one corner of my living room plastered with statistics, match-up spreadsheets and category analyses of each of my three teams, I'm drowning in this stuff.:reading: Oh I forgot to mention the free agent easel that has a pad of paper on it where I've broken down the averages of prospective free agents by season, month and week.:reading: And wait...how about the ten colors of high-lighter that designate multi-cat contributions by each player. (Orange means the player contributes to all nine cats, purple for 8 cats, green for 7 etc. etc. ad infinitum and I do mean ad infinitum. ) :reading: :ranger:

Ah Ralphie if you knew the agony I'm about to endure over in Open League at Motown's hands:pout:, you'd perhaps be more sympathetic to my cause here in Novice.

I've got two guys down too (Kwame and Najera) and I've got a major non-performer in Diaw. Diaw was my Third Round Draft Pick and most of this season Diaw has been in the bottom three (as they say on Idol) performers on my squad. And that is saying alot because I've got a lot of role player/one cat specialists. And yet, I cannot bring myself to drop him. :frusty: I keep waiting for him to justify my high draft pick. I mean, what if I dropped him and someone picked him up and he started stepping up his game? I'd worry that he just wasn't happy on the Kimmie Lights. :pound:So I try to be grateful for the 4 assists per game he manages to muster up. Sigh.

I'd like to be on the receiving end of that Whoop, but Chips is putting up a good fight with the Pistons playing 4 times this week. It should come down to Sunday.

    ps...have a safe drive! :)

    In the championship bracket:

The 3rd seeded Taters advance to play none other than the heavily favored 2nd seeded Slippy's. You knew it had to happen. I ain't scared...you hear me Slippy!!!
    I am NOT scared!!!!! :nailbiting:

In other action the 4th seeded Kimmees will play the #1 seed Wart piggys.

Oh yeah...Hey Ralphie. You got beat by a GIRL! :stirthepot::sssh::pound:

i'm down Sean May and Joe Johnson this week, while Kimmie is my worst matchup because of how well her team has been shooting lately, both FG% and FT%, while those are categories I normally rely on!!

But I'm not nervous. I've been #1 all year for a reason, because MY TEAM IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. YEAH BABY.

Sorry Dawg, but my banner says 2006 champ and it is a permanent affixation. Go get your own!

Yeah, you gotta go through the champ to get it. My chances are small, but the short week helps me. I won't make it easy for you. You'll need to EARN it!

    Slippy,

Am I looking at the score correctly? I mean...YOU are the heavy favorite, am I right? Ok, I guess it's still early...but aren't you sweating a bit. I mean...8-1?

I am pulling a webz. Both my computers are down. I can't adjust to the myriad of injuries beseting my team (and everyone elses). sucks to be me. right now, I am more concerned with getting all my crap out of the boxes.

Yeah I am pretty much throwing in the hat. It was a longshot to beat Warthog's team but I thought I had a formula to win 5 cats. But with Dirk out for all cats and B. Barry out for my 3s and then of course my chronic underacheiving Phoenix Suns Raja and Boris, well I think I'm toast and it's only Thursday. Man I want to tear my hair out sometimes when I look at my players' production.

How can I possibly be up 8-0 without my best player against a better team?

I should tank, because if I somehow beat Slippy, it's going to be a boring two weeks with Wart since I don't have agent Zilch. Slippy and Wart would be a much better match.

Seriously, I'm the Uber competitor, you all should know that if you've played fantasy sports with me before, but a big part of me honestly just wants to lose this round.

you lose 1 guy and you whine. Most teams are losing 3-4 key guys. sure we can throw the milsaps of the world out there but its really not the same. still, I have not yet begun to fight!!!! really. and I may never will.
