The Yahoo rankings are skewed to league standard stats. I think Penalty Minutes could make a big difference in the depth of the league. We're all trying to play from a shallow pool of scorers, instead of accounting for tough guys and defensive role players, which are a big part of the game.

I'll probably make it more like 75 or so...

Yeah, like Roscoe said, penalty minutes. There was a guy ranked really high all year, whose name I can't remember. He hardly ever scored. It took me half the year to figure out it was because of his penalty minutes.

Also I want to add gwg, which I cut out, but probably should not have (and you guys tried to tell me that...I should have listened). Maybe even goalie losses.

Possibly shots on goals. Just to make it more interesting. But that's next year. Right now we've got four teams going for the Stanley Cup...

You must be talking about Carcillo from Phoenix. I use him here and there in my other league, where penalty minutes are used. :)

    I'm thinking 14 is a good #.

I'm too lazy to look right now, but I thought we had agreed to a lower # already? Wasn't it like 62 or something? Sixty two is a nice round #. Do I hear 50?

I'm assuming that by "use him here and there" you mean that you drop him and then pick him back up 4 times per week?:stirthepot:

Well, I don't think we officially agreed on a figure, but I do remember discussing it. How about...uhmmm...70?

14 moves? I think I had at least that many injuries during the year. I think something along the lines of 30-40 would be fine. Just my one cent's worth.

I'm just playing. I just said 14 because that's how many moves I've made this season. ;)

I'd be happy with 30-50 transactions. I understand that injuries come up (I've had a fair amount this season as well, but I've liked my guys too much to drop them) and a bad draft can REALLY have you playing catch-up (especially if you couldn't make the draft personally and had to go "auto").

    That's just my 1/3 cent's worth.

Hey, I had my own draft, which was OK. But I had guys injured, guys that performed way below their abilities, and, of course, a few bad picks. Then the experimenting began... :pound:

Bezeach is going down. We have no use for California summertime playboys in this man's league.

So I pick up Vesa Toskala to cover for an injured Pascal Whats-his-name and Toskala gives up the longest goal of the season last night.

175 feet, it was a bouncing puck all of the way down the ice, which ended up beating him glove side on a weird skip.

Btw, Leafs won 3-1, if Toskala had stopped that one, they would have had a shutout! :gun1: :gun1: :gun1:

Yeah, I saw that goal. That sucked.... for you.:pound:

Oddly enough, Pascal Whats-his-name Leclaire's backup had a shutout last night.

Man, I'm getting smoked in our match-up Bill! Things are looking pretty bleak for the Jammer Pants.

Between my guys getting the night off, playing my Habs (I just can't cheer for my goalie to do well when they're playing my team!) and being injured for the year, I still don't have a single goalie game played this week!

I'm getting smoked in games played to top it off! I think you have like 17 more games played than I do this week. How the heck am I supposed to over come 17 freaking games difference?!?!?

You've had your share of bad luck too though, losing Sundin and earlier Brind'Amour to injury really sucks for you. I'd probably be getting blanked right now if those guys were in for you.

It's looking like another fantasy playoff choke job for the J-train. First it was my ZERO TDs in the finals of Football and now this debacle. I blame the commissioner!:gun1::gun1::gun1:
