    "Ideal" candidate?
    ...Bill Laimbeer.

We've been settling for 'less than ideal' ever since Larry Brown and Bill Davidson decided that they couldn't get along.
This has to be a good hire and can't be anything less than 'ideal'!

Anyone can get one interview with the Pistons. The real candidates will get 3-4 interviews each.

If we're going to go with a retread, I'd take Byron Scott over McMillan, Cheeks and all the other clowns whose names have been floating around.

If we're going to with a rookie, Rasheed Wallace.

Rasheed coaching would either be brilliant or an utter disaster, I am not sure which.

After all the years not wanting to be The Man, you think Sheed wants to be The Coach?

Rasheed ain't no coach. He just real good at passing the blunt.

I don't mind McMillan. Byron Scott sucks. I quite like Shaw, but I'm not a huge fan of rolling on assistants.

    So in other words;

We either make the playoffs, or we get Wiggins / Parker in the draft.

Don't let the Homeless Harry persona fool you. Sheed is one of the smartest basketball players that I've ever seen.
He'll make a helluva NBA assistant someday. I don't think he'd want to be a HC.

So why did we bring in Phil again? Even the Zen master cannot recruit a coach to the D.

He probably came to the Pistons to advise B-Shaw not to consider Detroit.

I believe it may be Phil's plan to sabotage us from the inside. That way he has a direct hand in exacting some kind of revenge on us...

If we get Maurice Cheeks I will be upset.

What kind of name is that? Not inspiring at all and we will remain under.500

I said that from the beginning. I don't see what Phil's incentive is to actually give Gores good advice.

Jackson was quoted days after being brought on board "that his main focus was on his book tour."

The Pistons are a class organization.

The headline should read, Pistons next coach down to Dumb and Dumber.
