My sentiments exactly: USC adjusted at after halftime, Michigan came back with the same plays: handoff to Mike Hart and see if he can create. I was yelling too that either Henne drops back into the shot gun or try a reverse with Breaston and Hart or any of those other RB's that were hiding on the bench involved. Problem with "M" is that they featured only four offensive players, Henne, Manny, Hart and Breaston. Arrington and Ecker get supporting roles in the secondary, but no one else other than Hart gets to run the ball... That worked vs the rest of the competition, but when M came up against the big boys in USC & OSU, they had studied the tapes and knew the Wolverines playbook. Now they did score against the latter, but they didn't get it done until the second half and of course were 3 points and few minutes short of being #1. ummm wonder if they had won that game if they would be playing Florida next week or OSU again???? ..better luck next season if they can get more creative in the offense, but the defense will surely suffer with the graduations...
I didn't want to blame it on Carr but blame it on Carr. Why couldn't he move Henne out of the pocket? Why couldn't we stop the Booty rollout?
I recall one one of the local announcers here in LA saying that the long TD pass to Jarret in the third quarter was a last minute audible by the QB, in other words a Booty Call.
Tate, if Ohio State wins you go 50/50 on your Big Ten remark. That aint good enough. Ah, Ohio State is the nuts and will ream Florida a new one. Making me 50/50 on those 2 games. Now bite me!
I'm not as certain on the OSU game as I was on the U of M game. I said they MAY go down. I think OSU is a lot better than Michigan and I don't think Florida is that great. Still, the Big ten teams seem to do poorly in bowl games, so we'll see. Looks like BSU shoulda played OSU! :p
If OS gets another National Champ they are a full rung better than the rest. On this issue you can't dis' the Big Ten cause we got the "Big One". And that's hard to do because most kids like to go to warm weather schools. As for BSU, this is their first time in the big leagues, same for Rutgers and others. Let them get a few bowls under their belt and maybe they'll get respect.
I don't know what the 'official' line is, but OSU should be spotting Florida 10. There's no way they can hang with the bucknuts. BSU had a great year capped off by a great win. It'd be fun to see a BSU-OSU game. btw...I've heard BSU has a new mascot for next year they call "DARTH SPUD"
I like BSU because I have friends who live and die with them, but personally, I have no allegiance to them. I think it kinda sucks that the small schools don't get a real shot. I think the big schools don't play them because they have nothing to gain (in rankings or financially), and everything to lose (the game). Every time they play the little guy it's on the big guys turf (larger stadiums). I think the big guys know to stay away from teams like BSU. They actually do have a really good team (and a cool blue field).
Yeah those trick plays at the end of the game were monster. I loved that sshhiitt. As for you being right this time about the Big Ten, it goes in cycles. Next year try to not ruin it for Mich State. And UoM And Ohio St. You're such a hoser!
