If we got those 2 and we kept the whole core:eyebrows:. I doubt it, but anything is possible.

How about this trade with Dallas? (I heard it on another forum)

Detroit Acquires: Diop, Stackhouse, and Harris

    Dallas Acquires: Wallace

    Any thoughts?

i'm guessing they'll give up delonte or telfair in a trade to philly ... seems like they're just collecting trade bait right now

Here's my latest off season plan.

Re-sign Ben (expecting salary to start around 10M)

Trade Dale Davis, Delfino and Mo's Trade exception for Bonzi... may have to include Minn pick... this way we don't have to compete with MLE teams.

Use the full MLE on Zo for only two years... he becomes a nice bargaining chip in one year and gives us an answer for Shaq.

Use the Bi-Annual on Bobby Jackson (although it sounds like L.H. is coming back).

Bench = Zo, Bonzi (SG & SF), Dice, BJax ...solid

Amir gets some burn at backup SF/PF

That's very nice, but that would be REALLY hard to do. Zo, and Bonzi want their payday so it would be hard to make both of them agree to come. I like the idea though:eyebrows:.

Jackson was mentioned in the Detnews today...

Speedy Claxton, of the Hornets, and Bobby Jackson and Chucky Atkins, of the Grizzlies, are also on the Pistons' radar.

By trading D.D., Delfino & Mo's Trade exception (plus a pick) we could offer Bonzi or Harrington appoximately 6.1M. first year.

Toronto sends Charlie V to bucks for TJ Ford

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2506311

I think the bucks got the better of the deal. yeah tj is lightning quick but with the back and neck issues he could be done in a few years Villanueva will be solid for the next 6-8

espn.com said that peja might be headed to New Orleans! Hornets already had a nice draft, and if they add Peja they'll be in the playoffs for sure.

The Indy Star is confirming it--5 years for $64M. So the Pacers get nothing for Artest.

    • Peja signed by the New Orleans Hornets for 64 million for 5 years (12.8 per year).
    • Sam Cassell resigned by Clippers for 26 million for 2 years. (13 million per year).

The NBA is going to have to readjust the salary cap pretty soon.

These are the kinds of aggressive salary moves teams have to make if they want to stay or become contenders.
