The way I see it, the future ain't so bleak. Even with the loss of Big Ben. Seems to me we insert Dyess into the starting lineup and move Sheed's azz to center, while bringing Nazr off the bench. Losing Ben is a BIG blow, but this storm can be weathered. The real question is coaching and the backup backcourt. Which brings me to Flip and Delfino. Last season Flip wazn't rocking the boat. So he let the players do it their way. Barring a trade (and Joe's still looking, mind you) it looks like Delfino's competition is gonna be a first half-sitting-out Hunter and two guys who were the last choice in their respective drafts. And Ben ain't got his back either. If Joe picks up another guard, the handwriting's on the wall for Delfino. I hope he can rise to the challenge.
As for offseason moves, put me in the "Sheed, Nazr and anybody else (except a starter) that fits to Minny for KG" column. Any draft choices moving around in this scenario are Minny's. You need a certified bonified STAR to win consistently in the NBA these days. Somebody who can sell some jerseys.
Oh well! Guess I DO need to brush up on the CBA a-fore I make a complete hindquarters outta myself. Cato and Sheed for KG? Hmmmm. Now THERE'S an idea!
No, I don't want to lose Rip, Tay, or J-Max, but maybe they would take Flip back instead. The young Mr. Debunkalogo, as brilliant as he is, is for the future. KG is for now.
Wonder if LB would take Sheed for Curry and an expiring contract? Gives us a legit low post offensive threat with some beef. Can't think of too many other folk I'd trade Sheed for tho. I vote to keep every one of our draft choices, come hell or high water!
Dallas trades Marquis Daniels to Indiana for Austin Croshere. This probably puts an end to the relationship between the Mavs and the perfect Flip Saunders Piston DNA player: KEITH VAN HORN
I dunno about that. A Chicken Madras or Beef Vindaloo would hit the spot right now. I'd trade Hooper and Mason for an authentic Lamb Korma.
C'mon Motown! Where's your pride? Actually, I think Curry will become a force down low in another season or two, if he keeps improving. He ain't my favorite player by any stretch, but he DOES have a very good offensive game in the paint. Overall, I'd much prefer KG or Magloire tho.
Eddy Curry has a lot of potential. He also has cardiac arrhythmia, and is at risk of falling down dead on the basketball court. Anyone who denies that it's a serious possibility is either uninformed or lying. There's a reason the Bulls benched him and then traded him. Hint: it's not because they don't like his game.
Now that puts an end to the KG trade rumors. There is no way that Mike James would go there if they didn't commit to keep KG. And if they reneg on that, then there is no way that MJ will produce for them. Case closed. They should be competitive again.
