Songalia has the ability to abuse certain types of players...but is equally vulnerable himself. He's still improving though.

I don't know if this was posted, but the Raps got Anthony Parker from Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Parker was widely considered the best American playing in Europe. A true gentleman and leader. He's a swingman who can do it all.

I think this is a pretty big signing for Toronto.

Did anyone happen to watch the Blazers/Suns vegas game on NBA TV? Hess looked great for the Suns. And I saw that he originally went to EMU before transferring to W&Mary.

TORONTO -- John Salmons backed out of a sign-and-trade deal that would have sent the swingman from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Toronto Raptors, the Toronto Star reported Saturday

The Chicago Bulls announced that they traded guard J.R. Smith to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Howard Eisley and two 2007 second-round draft picks from the Nuggets.

The Indiana Pacers will send point guard Anthony Johnson to the Dallas Mavericks for veteran floor leader Darrell Armstrong and two young players, Armstrong's agent said Sunday. Armstrong, forward Josh Powell and swingman Rawle Marshall are headed to the Pacers in a sign-and-trade deal that can't be completed until the NBA office opens Monday.

    That stinks.

Mavs upgrade from Van Horn to Croshere (yes, it's an upgrade) and they swap the rarely used Armstrong for a guy who started a whack of games last year in AJ.

It's hard to not still be ticked as you watch the contenders make moves (Suns, Mavs).

    What were the Pacers thinking?
AJ was their best player in the 2nd half of the season.
This might have lux tax implications because AJ may be costly to re-sign.

Anthony Johnson was the Pacers second best player last season. Good move by Dallas. I hate watching the other contenders get better.:ohwell:

Free agent guard Fred Jones will sign with the Toronto Raptors, his agent said Sunday. The 6-foot-2 leaper from Oregon averaged 9.6 points a game as a backup last season, and 10.6 points and 3.1 rebounds two seasons ago.

That's sad because Butler is younger and they paid half of what we paid for a center.

I think ALL off seasons move are ? marks. I think that as far as the contenders goes, Dallas is the only team that has made their team that much better.

I like Dallas coming out of the West again, with the East being wide open with Detroit and Miami as the top two teams.

Kerr likes the Spurs and Pistons and thinks highly of any moves that those organizations do, especially the Spurs.

The whole league from bottom to the top is coming closer that its ever been in that most teams can compete with each other, but the superduperstar is taking over again.
