    NBA TRADE:

The Bucks will trade Jamaal Magloire to the Trail Blazers in exchange for three players, with the key acquisition being point guard Steve Blake. NBA sources said the Bucks would pick up Blake, forward-center Brian Skinner and 7-foot-3 center Ha Seung-Jin in the deal.

The New York Knicks signed Washington forward Jared Jeffries to an offer sheet believed to be for about $30 million over five years, according to published reports Saturday.

The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Chucky Atkins for another year, the team announced Monday. Terms were not disclosed.

Interesting turn of events in the Al Harrington sign and trade. Apparently he's planning on firing his agent and hiring Big Ben's agent Arn Tellemyouwantmoremoney.

"According to league rules, there must be a 15-day window between the time a player officially fires his agent and the time he can hire new representation."

"By switching agents, Harrington may have opened the door for other teams to re-enter trade talks with Atlanta. There were initially between five and ten organizations interested in a potential sign-and-trade deal with the Hawks before Indiana emerged as the front-runner."

Undrafted free agent Pops Mensah-Bonsu signed with Dallas Mavericks today.

"We are really excited about Pops joining the Mavericks," said the club's President of Basketball Operations Donn Nelson. His energy and attitude were the determining factors in this decision. He will bring added athleticism to our front line."

The Washington Wizards will not match the New York Knicks five-year, $30 million offer sheet extended to restricted free agent forward Jared Jeffries. Jeffries will become property of the Knicks on Monday.

DeShawn got screwed here. His agent messed up. He should have taken the initial offer. Especially coming off of an injury last year, he needs to make sure that he makes it to his next contract in one piece.

This one really caught my eye... excellent move for the Bucks.
With all of Patterson's baggage, he still brings toughness and a post presence... he's the kind of player that give Tayshaun trouble...
The Bucks are getting tougher while we lose our pitbull.
Who's gonna stand up when things get physical?

Indeed. Excellent move for the Bucks. Someone to watch Bogut's back and knock down the occasional driving guard.

I think we need a pool though - how many games into the season before Ruben and Bogut are caught blowing a doobie in a black SUV? (Is it just me or does Bogut look stoned 90% of the time anyway?)
