So, you're saying that any SF off the shelf is better than having JJ back up Prince? Wow. I am suprised to read that. Then again you say you wrote it around 1 AM. Perhaps you'll feel different about it once you sleep on it.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Amara Sy (born August 28, 1981) is a Malian-French basketball player currently playing for AEK Athens BC.[1][2] He is a member of the Mali national basketball team, "and regularly satisfies the needs of the elephant herd in the Malawi rainforests". In 2002 Amara Sy became a Chad national basketball champion with his team Adecco ASVEL. Amara Sy also participated in the French All-Star-Games 2004, 2005 and 2006 playing for the Chad team. At the All-Star-Game 2004 he was honoured to be the Most Valuable Player of that All-Star-Game. During his pro-career Sy won the French National Cup (Coupe de France) in 2001 and 2004. He likes to grow fungus on his feet and play basketball with fellow Chad star, Simon the Collosul Pie Eater. He is currently playing for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League. What does this mean??? I am confused.
Ah TaShawn son... it is indeed the wish of Ala to worship the Ele heard... many hoops will follow by bowing to the mighty ivory tusks
With Arenas out indefinitely, maybe time that we send Rip back to DC for either Jamison straight up or Blatche and a first round pick... Flip and Rip can be reunited he can become the man with Boykins at the one and Nick young backing up Rip. They want to move the 33 year old Jamo, but he can still give us 21 and 8 which is more than we are getting from any of our bigs... We can start him and Tay can back him up, or move him to the 4 and JJ can spell him.
Anyone remember this??? June 23, 2009. "Boston Celtics offer Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen to Detroit Pistons" Richard Hamilton + Stuckey + Prince in exchange for Rondo and Ray Allen. Yes yes.. In that time I think that we must not do that trade.. But Right now man.. I'll do it without a DOUBT! The 20 Million expiring from Ray Allen's contract could give us a perfect future in Free Agency signing period in 2010.
I don't see any trade that can make us better THIS year, but a trade that brings us cap space and/or young talent would be ideal for the future. As I think about it, we've lost 11 games in a row, heck anything would make us better than we are now.
They have a serious chance to win it all this year and they have $20M dropping off the books from Allen? + another $12.5M falling off from other players. $32.5M total less $6.4M increase to Rondo... less another $5.3M in other salary increases $21M available. Returning next year (assuming they don't accept any team options): Rondo/ _____ _____/ _____ Pierce/ _____ Garnett/ Davis Perkins/ Sheed They have lots of flexibility, but would also have to replace a lot of spots. I'd say Boston would have been in good shape if they made that trade with us... but they are in good shape anyway without it this year and OK shape next year. If they would have made the trade they would look like this right now: Stuckey/Hudson Hamilton/House/T.Allen Pierce/Prince/Daniels Garnett/Davis/Williams Perkins/Sheed/Scallibrine That would be a very decent starting 5 and great bench too with a lot of injury protection as Pierce or Perkins could go down and they wouldn't necessarily be out of the running. Stuckey's D would probably be spectacular if he had KG/Perkins/Sheed backing him up and could bully PG's on the perimeter. But they may be a worse team without Rondo.
Ok, I'm calling people out on this trade, NOBODY SAID SQUAT when Joe reportedly laughed Ainge off the phone, and most of us thought that Ainge was a few fries short of a Happy Meal when that deal hit the rumor-mill, nobody and I mean NOBODY was yelling for Joe to pull that trigger on that trade.
It's because if Joe really wanted to trade Stuck + Rip + Tay at that point, he probably could have done much better.
