TaShawn, I was reading the quote in your signature, and I had an epiphany. Kuester is going to platoon our guards and big men, like in baseball! One night, Ben Gordon and Ben Wallace will play, the next night Rip and Charlie V will play. It will also depend on whether we're playing a left- or righthanded point guard, too, I guess...

Conley would merely be considered "collateral damage".

Any time you get the opportunity to feature Rip Hamilton and Allen Iverson in the same backcourt, you HAVE to pull the trigger and make that deal.

The roster is completely unbalanced and this will cause internal problems due to minute distribution and the inability to find consistency and develop players (or at least see if they are worth developing). So as Tads stated, the easiest solution is to get rid of some of the extra players for players at other positions or empty spaces. Yes, the dream scenario is to unload these players for players that are good or desired, but since this is a rebuilding year, just getting the roster balanced would be enough for me.

I don't see a need to make a bad deal just for the sake of making a deal.

I'd be happy to roll with what we got until [strike]the 3rd game of the season[/strike] the trade deadline.

Don't base much on the Preseason though.

I looked it up. We were 4-4 during the championship 04 Preseason. Keuster is not playing to win right now just like LB did. He is trying to see what he has and who can do what. Be nice to verify this by actually watching some games.

Charlie V also hasn't played. I'm predicting he will be our leading or 2nd-leading scorer this season. I'm starting to think he is going to be our most important player this season.

Where else on our front court are we going to get points from? Starting both Kwame and Ben is not my idea of a party.

might also go towards the fact that Prince is alot more important to this team then most of you folks want to admit.... 3-0 with him starting playing 20 plus mins.... 0-3 in games he didn't play or got hurt in...

    just saying....

Everybody knows Prince is good, they just seen greener grass with the top 5 SF's in the league and are bored with him.

It's not that Tay isn't good. It's that he's not high energy or assertive.

I've seen it quoted a number of times that Tayshaun Prince is the most boring player to own in fantasy.

If 10 second post-ups were a stat category though......

Excellent observation. Q is the type not to get "reality world" results in unnatural hierarchies. He might be the non-linear type of thinker, which is exactly what the club needs. You need a perceptive technician type. Organic creativity is not this club's strong point. The '04' club was just the opposite. All it took for the latter to thrive, was a creative boundary type and that was Brown.

JD was the fortunate recipient of this eventual combination. He rode it into the sunset. Now he needs to come up with some common stable points. Begin with some hard workers. The rest will follow. Don't waste time with the draft because after 3-5 positions you enter the arena of absentee feedback loops. It does have one huge benefit: it keeps the faithful in high expectations and always marginal.

I agree, that Kwame/Ben combo is not something that's going to work. Ben was always paired with a scorer in the old days. I can see combo's of Wilcox/Ben or Kwame/CV as being the most effective.

I also like how Dumars is going back to his roots, or at least trying to.

Brown had a great team, Keuster doesn't. It's going to be more of a challenge for him. We need creativity but not indecision as with Curry. Guess I am also hoping that he will turn into a Popovich type being a former LB assistant.

Check out a game from the LB era if you get a chance. You will fall out of your chair watching Tay. He was way more aggressive and assertive. It is startling.

    This never gets old....:pound::pound:
Oh man you're on a roll.......

Preach Bro.Max....Not much to tell from the pre-season. However it is revealing how unbalanced this roster is, we probably need a PG more than a center right now.

I think they should just bite the bullet with CV and start him. Practice and continuity be dammed, they can't bring him off the bench.

His presence could submarine the happy, happy guard lineups though.

He's just more efficient now... like a kung fu master who makes minimal movements to vanquish the opposition. It was a technique that he developed in order to play 40 minutes per game every single night.

I don't think Tay could make a decisive move against a frontcourt of Bison Dele, Reggie Lewis and Len Bias.

You know Ernie, I'm starting to think that you don't like Tayshaun very much......
