Holy cow, I never realized Worm made that much money.
OKC netted Chandler for Chris Wilcox. But then decided that he had a serious injury problem. But NOH nets Okafor for Chandler? What??
Neither did I. All of these numbers come directly from Dennis Rodman Statistics - Basketball-Reference.com The Worm's earnings by season 87-88: $160,000 88-89: $550,000 89-90: $715,000 90-91: $880,000 91-92: $1.075 M 92-93: $2.35 M 93-94: $2.45 M 94-95: $2.5 M 95-96: $2.5 M 96-97: $9.0 M 97-98: $4.5 M 98-99: $1.0 M 99-00: $1.0 M One of those seasons sticks out like a sore thumb (and not just because I bolded it).
I think it was Chris Wilcox('s expiring contract) as well as another expiring contract. Salary dump. Charlotte is jettisoning long-term contracts to make it easier to sell the franchise soon.
And we net Wilcox for nothing?
Hornets confident Chandler will pass physical - Hornets247.com New Orleans GM Jeff Bower said today that the Hornets are “very comfortable with his (health) status. Charlotte has looked at all of that information as well, and everything we’re aware of. We’re all quite confident in the situation.” Bower said Chandler and Okafor both have seven days to report to their new teams, then one additional day to undergo and pass their physicals. Okafor is expected to arrive in New Orleans next week and participate in a press conference officially introducing him as a new Hornet.
