Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Great question. Actually there is....sorta. I was thinking about randomizing the selections (randomize button) and then letting the trade posturing for draft picks/selection begin. Only one problem. I'm unable to identify if the trade draft pick option is a function available only to the Commissionsers or if the GMs can do it on the fly, during the draft or both. This is where that inexperience in how this league works plays a factor. This would be a nightmare if it is up to the Commish to manage all of those activites during a draft. So, if you or another GM could do me a favor and poke around the site to see if any trade draft pick options are available to the GMs it will help alot. Otherwise, we will just continue the current course to avoid confusion.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Spoken like a real Sheed disciple!! I see a lotta trash talkin already and our teams don't have players yetGonna be nice competive season I see.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Man, trading picks would be cool! It would only be a nightmare for the GM. I'm fine with it! I did some searching but didn't see anything about trading picks. But I did notice a couple of other cool features! I like the "trading block" feature especially. Looking forward to tip off!
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Okay, just got a response from NBA.com support. It looks like trading draft picks can only be done pre-draft, do not require league approval and can only be handled by the commish. I think we'll pass this time around fellas. The overhead of managing 14 picks for 12 different teams seems a bit ambitous this year. One thing I must comment on is that the NBA.com fantasy b-ball customer support is excellent. They normally give me answers within the half hour and they have done a great job at answering questions to my satisfaction. (Which is not very easy. )
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Looks like someone isn't being a team player. That's not very Pistons DNA like of you Mo. :P
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 I've never chatted in live draft. We can do pf chat if that will work.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 good question. The Yahoo version of the draft has a chatroom, however I don't know how the draft is going to be for the NBA.com version. I'll research this and get an answer back to the group.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Awesome. Its nice to have during the draft. It makes you feel like everyones actually there, rather than just watching them make pics. So we'll be able to roast whoever ends up taking Darko in the first round in real time!
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Whewwww! Well, I finally completed the schedule. It ended up being alot more time consuming than I anticipated. Finally, I got smart and downloaded a free scheduler that helped me out a bit. It still required a lot of work considering I was trying to factor in interleague play. Anyway here is the breakdown. Each team will play against a team in their division three times. There will be seven weeks of inter-divisional play. This means that everyone will get the opportunity to play someone from an opposing division at least once. The last inter-divisional game will pair you up against someone listed in your top 3 preferred list (if you emailed me). Home court advantage will alternate from Bad Boys to Going to Work every inter-divisional week with the exception of the last week of Mar19 - Mar25. At this time, the home court advantage will be awarded to the team that was the visitor for the previous matchup between the two rival teams. Hope I didn't confuse the hell outta ya. To see the complete schedule, please login to the NBA.com fantasy page. Here are the inter-divisional matchups (Home teams in bold) : Week 3 Webz vs Winless Jammer vs Slippy Dre vs Griff Motown vs Roscoe Darth vs Linwood Dlev vs Himat Week 6 Linvwood vs Webz Slippy vs Motown Winless vs Jammer Griff vs Darth Roscoe vs Dlev Himat vs Dre Week 9 Webz vs Roscoe Jammer vs Himat Dre vs Winless Motown vs Linwood Darth vs Slippy Dlev vs Griff Week 12 Slippy vs Webz Griff vs Jammer Linwood vs Dre Himat vs Motown Roscoe vs Darth Winless vs Dlev Week 15 Motown vs Winless Darth vs Himat Dre vs Slippy Jammer vs Roscoe Webz vs Griff Dlev vs Linwood Week 18 Griffin vs Motown Himat vs Webz Slippy vs Dlev Roscoe vs Dre Linwood vs Jammer Winless vs Darth Week 21 Webz vs Slippy Linwood vs Darth Winless vs Dre Roscoe vs Motown Himat vs Jammer Griff vs Dlev With the schedule determined, I will go ahead and press the randomize button to determine the draft selection order in advance. Look for an update before midnight. Should make for some interesting discussion. Time to get prepared for the draft fellas. I'm ready. Are you?
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Cool biz. I get to and andandand:dizzy2:andand my buddy Linwood TWO times. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I'm glad we'll learn the draft order in advance. It will definitely help with strategy.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 You feelin' sorry for the Going to Work league Mo? Looks like they get a big edge in the home court advantage department. That's ok. Ties are for girls anyway. Real men win outright.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Good catch. The actual schedule on the site is correct, the one I posted here did not take into account the home court advantage. Should be all better now.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Oh, what the hell... Draft selection order is up and available. Enjoy.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 Linwood is first. Bad news for Cleveland fans. LeBron will be on crutches the entire year.
Re: Trial League News - '06-07 I'd have to imagine its snaking, but I'd really prefer it if it was straight up!
