Courage (if kind = king :), which in general it does not).

    - best player on the team, at times the worst

    - a top ten defensive big man of all time

    - a bit slower in his 14 season, but craftier than ever

    - my only bobblehead and jersey

I voted on " Wish he did better but we still need him" because he is a longtime member of the Pistons. I think he shows leadership and responsibility, but he isn't doing so amazing right now.

For me personally, Sheed is the most entertaining member of the Detroit Pistons.

As frustrating as he can be when he doesn't play up to his ability on [strike]most[/strike] certain nights, I'll miss him VERY much when the day comes that he's no longer a Piston.

Sheed is a disappointment to the box score worshipers and the NBA Live set.

To me, the Piston's problems have been and continue to be their guards and wings. They have no one who forces the D to move and can get easy shots for their offense. I think you will see both sides of this in spades tomorrow night with DET getting the short end, unfortunately.

Why have the Pistons been a constant in the ECF?

    The strength of Sheed.

His level of play in the ECF is also why the Pistons have failed to advance past that round the last 3 years....

That's not true. In the 2nd series against CLE, he was the only one that came to play. In the MIA series he was on one leg. In the BOS series, he absolutely needed to step his game up.

It's really dangerous to judge players based on their performance in something like the ECF.

    1) it is a small sample size. 4-7 games.
    2) it is always against a very good team. Miami and Boston both went on to win the title after they knocked us out.
    3) it is a time in the year when many players are playing through injury. There is no way that Sheed is going to miss an ECF if he's 70%.
    4) We tend to remember key moments or games that we are unhappy with and they drown out all the memories where the player played well.
    5) Most of the players you have to compare them to don't have ECF experience, so it's an apples to oranges comparison. e.g. we should replace Sheed with Brand b/c Sheed doesn't play well in the ECF. Maybe Brand doesn't either because he's never been there.

When LB left, Sheed should have gone with him.

Could not love him more but he seems extremely uninterested of late and looks old/slow/late on D and is actually getting scored on now with relative consistency.

(Yes I know he was amazing vs Minny for about 1/3 of the game)

Sheed makes watching the Pistons fun. But it gets frustrating, when he doesn't use his talent.

Not to mention...he's the leading 3-pointer on this team.

He's also the leading 2-point shooter on isolated post-up opportunities. The problem is that he's also the only one.

Rasheed Wallace is one of the top three defensive big men in the NBA. Fans complain that he is lazy yet players say that defense is the hard work of basketball.

Bill Russell said that most well contested basketball games involved a battle for dominance under the glass between the big men. That the team of the guy that wins that battle usually wins the game. Head to head Rasheed dominates players with better stats like Bosh and Howard. That is why we have made the final four so regularly.

He gets paid a lot of money. He should be able to run around and spread the floor for himself.
