130-85??? If we get beat by 45, and our rookies still don't play then we have a problem with the Quester....
......not only that, we drop to the bottom of the power rankings.

Agreed. It'll be more like 118-85.

Isn't this the same stunt Rip pulled last year when he had to share time with AI?

I haven't seen Orlando play much, but I must say I've been impressed with how well they've been playing.

I didn't realize that. That should have been Chucky Atkins's ankle!

He wasn't dressed because the Pistons had to leave 2 roster spots vacant because Jerebko and Daye selfishly and immaturely put their own need for vengeance above the needs of the team in the pre-season.

I think the team should make them sprain their ankles until Rip is better.

If our two thug rookies weren't trying to be all Mike Tyson in the pre-season, that ankle never would have been in the game.

Garbage time is like prison ball. Coach put Rip in a very dangerous situation and predictably, Rip was victimized. Just another GT statistic.

I saw a close up of Atkins in the first game.... he actually had his uniform on sticking out underneath his regular clothing...I was wondering why he look so thick..

Also Daye and Jerkebo have already been punished because the coach won't let them play until Rip comes back....

The last time they lost a game was last June in the finals...they won all 8 preseason games and are 3-0 in the regular season....

    Yes.. :(

I was able to watch them against the Nets a few days ago and what really shocked me was Brandon Bass playing of the bench..

I Don't know, they have some players like Pietrus, Nelson, Bass, Barnes that If we put 2 guys to defend Dwight, our defense will break easily..

I'm really scared.. We are facing 3 hard games.. the day after tomorrow? @Toronto.. and this Friday @Orlando!!

I'm afraid that we are going to be 1-5 by the end of the weekend..

    :mmph:

No wonder Darko was so tentative all those years.

If the Pistons can move the ball around and rebound alongside the solid defense, winning shouldn't be far out of reach.

    Be very afraid.....

on the otherhand a healthy Rip and we could have been 3-0 going into tonights game and still lost the next three to be 3-3 at the end of the weekend...:sssh:...but I am hoping that we get him back and at least get a W vs the Raptors tomorrow.

I have a question: Does Orlando play defense? Other than Dwight Howard's activities as a center in the paint that is. Do their perimeter shooters play defense or are they a team in the style of Golden State or Phoenix all offense all the time not run and gun but gun and gun but Dwight dunking on the inside? Is that their style? Can they defend against a team like themselves? Thank you for any answer. I know Rashard Lewis doesn't play D.

It's a shame about Rip. I'll see some of you in chat irregardless of our chances.

Their points allowed per 100 possessions was #1 in the NBA last year at 101.9.

    Just for perspective:
Golden State was 28th at 112.3
    Phoenix was 26th at 111.6

    Detroit was 16th at 108.0

Dwight Howard is obviously a huge reason for their defensive dominance. It's the same story as when we had Ben Wallace as the DPOY and it made all of our perimeter players look good. Vince Carter is a decent defender when he doesn't have to worry about his man driving past him.

Pretty sure they just said in the Piston pre-game that Tay isn't playing either. Anyone know what happened to him?
