I had him the last two years in fantasy hoops. I prolly passed him over two times in my draft this year.
I usually don't get overly excited about non-Piston games in mid-December, but the Lakers at the Knicks tonight should be fun and intriguing. Tip-off at 8pm on TNT.
Yes I have...he is on my league leading first place Rancho DreBaby's fantasy team in the advanced league
Lin, Harden, and Asik are manhandling the Bulls. Lin- 20 points, 8 assists, 1 turnover. 75% shooting. +32 Harden- 21 points, 6 assists, 1 turn. 11-13 from the FT line. +25 Asik- 20 points, 18 rebounds. +40 With time to go still in the game. If Nate Robinson didn't have 23 off the bench, this would be a complete embarrassment.
What's up with the Clippers? They are making some noise right now. CP3 have to be a serious MVP candidate right now with a 34 game win streak in a stacked West with VDN (!) as a coach. James is almost averaging a triple double while on cruise control and KD is putting up crazy numbers. Never thought I'd write this but even Melo (!!!) could be in the discussion with the progress of the Knicks.
The more the Clippers win, the more confident they become....but sometimes confidence can become cockiness, so there is still some learning to be done on this team. They have the best record in the league, the bench is the highest scoring the league, they lead the league in steals and are second behind the Nuggets in scoring points in the paint. Eric Bledsoe is an exciting player that could start for other teams, but every time he comes in, he looks for more they acrobatic showtime shot than finding the open man. Sixth man of the year candidate Jamal Crawford will try to take all of the shots in garbage time to pad his stats. Odom is finally getting his legs back and has provided a nice spark off the bench lately, but the catalyst in the past 7 games during the streak has been Matt Barnes, who cleans up the misses and hits the three ball to quiet the other team when it appears that they are trying to make a run. With the t Right now the second team is playing good defense and also playing street ball depending how big the lead gets. But with a questionable head coach at the helm, they still aren't getting the respect even here in LA and won't until the Lakers are officially eliminated from the playoffs. It appears that the two former Pistons vets Billups and Hill are assisting the coach in keeping the teams younger players focused when they get too excited about a double digit lead. Their experience will come in handy during playoff time, so for the time being they are just sitting on the bench healing those old bones. I have been to three Clipper games so far and attend on attending a few more, so I can provide updates on them just like I do my favorite team Pistons....which I will always be loyal too. But I have to cheer a winner too, so if you see me at the Clipper games, just remember I still have my Piston t shirt on underneath....
It's an interesting year in the league IMO. Lots of very dangerous teams. I find it hard to root for Griff, but otherwise like the team.
Why does everyone hate Blake Griffin? Those Kia commercials that he does where he travels back in time are hillarious. I especially like the one where he tells the 8 year old version of himself to not wear jean shorts. I know that he's more of a dunker than a basketball player but I enjoy watching those one dimmensional highlights of his.
I like his highlights, but just don't find him personally likable. Let me make my case with pictures. WARNING, this post contains images of Blake Griffin. Awkward real life experience. Yup. Sorry. If you're still a big fan, I understand. Thank God he jumped off of his right leg.
You know what would be pretty funny? ...composing this exact same picture with Tayshaun Prince instead of B-Griff.
It should be noted that the Pistons are the only team to hold the Clippers below 90 points during the streak so lets give us some credit as a team that frustrated them.....even though it was on the last game of a four game road trip. Big test tonight at Staples vs the Celtics, the last team to go beyond a 15 game win streak during the 08-09 season. Mean while Dwight Howard gets tossed on a flagrant two vs the Nuggets last night and the Laker 5 game win streak is over....Both Kobe and D' Antoni who were at first frustrated with Pau Gasol are now frustrated with DHow, so if they make it to playoffs and then are eliminated in the first round, expect Superman to be looking at Brooklyn this summer...
Brooklyn Nets Fire Head Coach Avery Johnson | Bleacher Report And Avery was Eastern conference coach of the month in November??? it begs the question, if the only team Frank can beat is the Wizards.....when will his time be up?
