...As long as Pop is coaching 'em up, I ain't gonna count those old farts out.
Afflalo played very well last night. His outside shot has continued to improve and I love his transition game becuase he is very much a North/South player who does not waste time dribbling.
Just a good solid player who can score some, block shots, rebound and won't back down.
A very interesting fellow also, I can't believe I kind of like him.
What are you smokin?
Which part, you got to admit the kid can play.
I've read a couple of interviews with him and he is way worldlier than your average NBA player.
Not only was his father a french tennis player, but his grandfather was a professional soccer player from the Camaroon and his mother was Miss Sweden 1978. Yep he is more wordly than the average BB player who has born in the USA and has never been outside the states other than visiting the Toronto when his team played the Raptors
He's on my list in the "hate thread".
Wow, everyone's favorite Dwayne Wade just threw down a viscous dunk on Clownboy Varejao that made Will Bynum's dunk from last night look like a one handed set shot into a peach basket.
Clowny ended up flat on his back with his legs in the air like he go knocked out.
Will's dunk was better I thought.
LBJ and Wade just put up one helluva 1st qtr, very entertaining, Mia looks pretty good too-btw, they very well could end the season winning the Southeast Division.
Are you getting disoriented watching the game because you keep confusing Wade for Rodney Stuckey like I am? I keep looking around for the rest of the Pistons.
Well Wade sat out the first 6.5 minutes of the second qtr, but still leads the team in shots taken tonight (3~8 shooting), 3 turnovers, and only 2 assists.....yep dem Stuckey numbers...
MJ's jersey hanging in the Miami arena??? who do they think he is Jackie Robinson??? Pat Riley is a tool
Reggie Miller needs to chill on his making MJ the saint of NBA
His jersey will never hang at the Palace of Auburn Hills...
LeBron James giving up 23 out of respect for Michael Jordan - Sports Rumors - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
Maybe LBJ will never figure it out, but it ain't the jersey around the heart that counts.
Looking at the game last night I noticed that Wade is a 1/2 step faster than Stuckey. That 1/2 step is the difference between a charge and a blocking foul right now. When Wade attacks the rim he usually makes contact with the help defenders shoulder, while Half Step Stuckey, gets them square in the chest (Charging Foul) because he can't get their fast enough to catch contact on the rotation. Small yet significant difference between the two.
Rather than release a statement about how he is honored to be recognized by James and how LeBronn is an amazing player blah. blah, blah...
- I'm sure that MJ will come out with a soundbyte stating how it's about time that the #23 is going back to it's rightful owner and how young players haven't earned the right to wear it. He'll go on to spew som BS about how he could go out right now and score 30pts on LeBronn and shut him down on D.
True, then there is also the fact that Wade can jump twice as high which also makes a big difference. Wade is trying to go over you while Stuckey has to go through you.
Wade played the point his rookie year, didn't he? Didn't really struggle with it either.
Good point. Maybe Joe should think about bringing him in for a workout.
And like it or not, that's the kind of attitude and drive it takes to win multiple championships.
