The Pats are looking to make history on Saturday, trying to become the first team in NFL history to go 16-0 in the regular season. They're already the first team to go 15-0 in the regular season.

The Miami Dolphins went 14-0 in 1972 when the regular season only lasted 14 games.

Other records within reach in Saturday's game include:

    1. The Patriots only need to score 6 points in the game to break the single season points record set by the 1998 Minnesota Vikings.

    2. Tom Brady needs only 2 TDs to break Payton Manning's record 49 TD passes in a season

    3. Randy Moss needs 2 TD catches to break Jerry Rice's record of 22 in a season.

    4. The Pats can break their own record for most consecutive regular season wins if they can notch their 19th straight.

    5. Brady is 105 passing yards shy of Drew Bledsoe's team record 4,555 passing yards in a season from 1994

NFL - New England Patriots/New York Giants Preview Saturday December 29, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports

Wow, win or lose, what a heck of a season.

Anyone care to predict the final score?

    Jaguars 28 - Pats 24

Actually the Jaguars have a very good team.

If the Belacheats play the Jaguars in the playoffs it should be a very good game.

The Patriots play the NY Giants on Saturday, not the Jags.

That's why it would be really cool if the Jags could pull it out. Belichick would be really confused.

Hahaha the old switcharoo play. I like it! Give Belichick a taste of his own medicine!

Perhaps a handicap match? Pats vs Dallas and Colts?

If Dallas does make to the SB their D is too weak. Pats, Jags, Colts, Pitt could all handle them.

Pats take the lead 10-7 on a TD pass from Brady to Moss that broke 1 NFL record (most offensive points in a season) and tied two others (most TD passes and most TD receptions in a season).

Not bad for a 4 yard pass.

Well, that was short lived. Moss got flagged for an excessive celebration in the end zone on the TD pass (what a ridiculously trivial foul. Truely the No Fun League), so the Pats had to kick off from their own 20. Giants return the kickoff for a TD and regain the lead 14-10.

    Stay tuned!

The line of the night goes to Chris Collingsworth. Patriot DT Vince Wilfork just stuck his finger in the eye of one of the Giants players during a scrum at the end of a play.

Play by play man Bryant Gumbel was trying to down play it saying:
"That looked like an attempt to annoy."

But Chris Collinsworth was having none of it replying:
"That looked like an attempt to stick his finger in the other guy's eye".

Nice TD drive by Eli to end the first half. Giants up 21-16 at halftime.

Yeah, that was Gumbel. He said "Looked like a Moe, Larry, Curly deal". (I just rewound my DVR to check)

Collinsworth is a pretty sharp analyst most of the time. Gumbel is a disastrously bad play-by-play guy.

Wow. About 30 seconds after Randy Moss dropped a wide open one, Brady goes right back to him for a HUGE TD pass to 1. take the lead, 2. set a single season passing TD record and 3. set a single season receiving TD record. WOW

Holy crap! Moss follows a terrible drop on a long bomb that would have been a 65 yard TD with...a 65 yard TD catch on the very next play. Patriots back in the lead all of a sudden.

And that's the single-season record for both of them; 50 TD passes for Brady and 23 TD catches for Moss. Although Jerry Rice's 22 TD catch season came in 12 games because of the strike...

Wow, nice interception by Hobbs. Suddenly the Pats can go up by 2 scores if they get another TD here.
